Is it allowed to crash into someone elses vehicle

... so you can either steal the vehicle or steal it and kill the driver? Lost a truck to this seemingly non-rp tactic. Managed to escape alive only thanks to the car jackers being stupid.

Furthermore, its fun seeing how my truck lost all but its rear wheels while the SUV escaped with almost no damage.

Edit: Seems there is some confusion so I will clarify - some blokes crashed INTO me and then decided to run infront of me and slam the brakes causing me to crash into them. My original question was if THEIR behaviour was acceptable. Just had to clarify this as some seem to think I crashed into them deliberatly which I did not!

Personally, I think it should be legal in terms of server rules. However, if that is legal, so is kamikaze too?

 
Smart move I wouldn't be a fan sticking around some one who drives like that lol

 
Don't ever do it. Simply allow desynch to do it for you!

 
DeSync drove my cop car into a helicopter yesterday killing all aboard. We laughed afterwards though.

But no, don't deliberately run into other peoples vehicles. That's bad and will likely get you a ban.

If it was permitted, it would be carnage hence why it isn't.

 
Like if the Arma was running perfectly I would not see that big of a problem with some slight ramming. But since you can blow up just by scratching the door handle this is classified as VDM

 
Thanks everyone, all I know is that the 2 dudes in the SUV spoke arabic as they proceeded to lockpick my truck. Also ofc I would not dream of deliberatly running into someone elses vehicle.

 
as mentioned, you're not allowed to ram/PIT another vehicle, because arma logic is that you explode and die. so keep distances. Yes desync is an issue, but it's a very clear and well known issue. Blaming desync isn't an excuse and can still get you banned. 

 
Him slowing down in front of you isn't technically vdm I think, as he's just trying to get you to stop. It's your choice whether to slow down and stop to avoid or keep driving. Ramming you on the other hand is vdm :)

 
If someone is chasing you directly behind just "Test out your breaks" and do an emergeny stop and drive away like nothing happened :)

Personally, I'd class this as VDM, if the brakes were applied in such a way where a collision was intentional/inevitable. So again, be careful.

I use slowing down in vehicles a lot, but it has to be very, very gradual.

So the guy knows that you're slowing down in front of him and he has plenty of time to react.

Then you turn the tables around, if you brake gradually enough, it stop's being you braking in front of him, to him deliberately not slowing down and ramming your vehicle.

 
Actually I lost control over the truck after he slammed into the side of my truck for a brief moment, you can see half a second before I run into him that I regain control and try to brake.

 
Happened to me yesterday, was chased and rammed for 3km, car kept pulling in front of me...people jumping out and shooting me. Finally they damaged my car so much it could no longer move.

 Whilst driving i listen to music, i went on a 30km drive just to view the scenery, it would have been 35km had the vehicle not prevented my from finishing my journey. I never thought it was VDM, i assumed these established guys knew the rules better than myself so just caught a lift back with another person they robbed at the side of the road. It was pretty pointless on their part, they got my lovely blue fedora and £100 in cash after all of that...oh, and a cheap backpack.

 It's pretty hard to hear peoples demands when you are driving, it's pretty unrealistic too. There is no way that in real life you would hear someone saying "Stop the car" from 200m behind you...even at the side of the road it wouldn't be audible.

 I think robberies like this shouldn't be allowed. If they pretend they are broken down and you are stupid enough to stop and help, fair enough, but chasing people down for miles and ramming them, shooting at them isn't really a realistic situation.

 If you are pulled up at the side of the road, refuelling in a petrol station, stopped at a junction...fair enough.

 Too many robbers on the server, i've given up trying to make monay as a result. I now just spend 99% of my time talking to people in greenzones, it's a shame really :(

I agree that robbing people just shooting cars / trucks without role play shouldn't be allowed.

That's why I have a large store of spike strips ;)  

If I want to stop a truck, I get ahead of it and spike strip it.

Once it has no wheels, let the role play commence.

 
Il add, i was in a beige hatchback, so there was little to no point in doing it anyways. Perhaps on my journey i passed somewhere of interest? I was on the main road going towards kavala, just before the Police checkpoint.

 To be fair, once i was out of the car they were pretty polite, they never shot me as soon as i exited or anything, the guy commented on my rather fetching fedora, and despite me explaining my condition (Im an albino) he wouldn't take no for an answer...he really wanted my hat lol. Had they hung back for another 5 minutes i would have been stopped getting fuel, this would have been a better way of going about things in my opinion, as it's more realistic.

 I believe they damaged their car, so the £100 they got from me never even covered the cost of the repair kid they would have needed to repair their car lol!!!
