Ingame vs. Teamspeak

I do believe if its pertinent to the roleplay, it should be broadcasted... "john, this guys said his names billy, he wanted?"

better than ...........................................silence..........................................
Could not agree more, but the everyday boring stuff completely irrelevent to the game world should be left out.

I hate people muting on-game especially the when the police do it. I try and get officers to talk in-game. Instead of over TS, can you impound that car. I will ask the officer in-game. Same with calling backup, if I have 3 rebels around me i will call on TS and hotmic in-game requiring assistance. It gives the rebels RP and may stop a hostage taking/gunfight.

If I see officers taking over TS when they could and should talk in-game I speak to them and tell them to talk over TS.

what I mean is when their talking to people on the "radio" something that could have easily been said ingame and teamspeak, for example: "This is Police Constable Papa Turd requesting a prisoner transport on my location, Kore Fuel." Stuff like that can easily be said ingame while hes whispering to other units on teamspeak
Papa Turd - @Papa Smurf

I talk through in game when talking on me radio(ofcourse not when saying stuff that would be considered breaking RP)  pretty sure its FailRP not to do so

Personally I never mute ingame sound because you're missing out on the actual roleplay. But I can't afford to mute my Teamspeak when other police units are giving me valuable information and requesting help on the radio. Attempting to maintain and monitor the person, police radio and police colleagues on patrol can be quite a stressful task alone.

Alot of police officers do infact broadcast their comms word for word infront of people in terms of impounding and interactions with 'Bob' but other comms can be abit more complicated when giving specific information to arriving units.  If police officers detect a threat such as a possible police kidnapping multiple units usually radio the unit on scene asking for a sitrep and threat assessments. Replying to these sorts of requests is critical because radio silence points at a kidnapping, replying ingame can mean interrupting a great roleplay story and having to wait through a few more minutes of explanation because the officer couldn't pay attention to the story and replying to comms at the same time.

Speaking police comms out loud is a great roleplay and I'd love to see more of it but sometimes the police radio just never stops especially during a operation and dangerous situations. Not to mention the nervousness that can cause cops to accidentally trip up on their words when broadcasting to every police officer on the server.

+1 to what Tex said, however the police as whole have been instructed to do it more regularly now as of Saturdays meeting. So I do encourage anyone on patrol, if you're radioing in front of someone, don't just stop talking say something to the effect of 'One moment sir, just had a call across the radio' then proceed with 'This is Kilo Victor 1 to Kilo Victor 3, unable to attend chase at this time, currently involved in another incident, over' If anything it only benefits RP. If you're worried about revealing or missing something critical, just tell the civilian, you've just got to pop to your car as a priority call has come over the radio. then come back to him once you're finished radioing, at least then everything is within roleplay and these silent periods or hidden comms to your mate as to whether you should arrest the man or not don't happen. If you're talking with your mate, have the confidence to do it ingame.
