Incorrect Character Name

Just noticed on a login this evening the character name in the top left was incorrect. I logged in on a character called John Dessain yet the name displayed was Tom McShed. Bank balance seems to be irrelevant as these aren't values related to any character. The only experience that was out of the ordinary was that I spawned in underneath the map and had to interact with the red marker to get back to the surface. This is the first time this has happened and may possibly be related to the incorrect name displayed.

For ease I've bullet pointed some information

• I logged in originally around 22:10 this evening
  
• Character ID affected is 35047
  
• Spawned underneath the map and used the icon to teleport back to the surface
  
• Character name that should be referenced is in character position four
  
• Character name that is actually referenced is in character position one
  
• Using ID card shows correct name
  
• Screenshots attached from in game console pre and post login. 
  
• Issue replicated. Closed client, reopened and relogged.

Hello @TomIce, are you still encountering this issue? If so, would you be able to provide a recording/more screenshots of the character selection screen issue?

Hey, yes, I haven't logged in for a few days but this was still occurring even after a server restart had been and gone.
 

I won't be able to provide video footage of the issue till the weekend because of IRL commitments but if it helps the steps are as follows:
Launch Steam
Launch Fivem
Navigate to RPUK and click 'Connect' and wait for the server to load.
Select the character with the issue,  in this case its character in position four. 
Press escape to go to the game menu and that is where the name is incorrect in the top right which also details bank balance etc.

I have attached an image showing the incorrect name as well as a pitiful bank balance. By all means this could just be a local issue with my game files but reported as this could affect more than just myself.

When you are able to login next time and if its still a issue when you press escape could you see if this is a issue that occurs on other things as well for example if you show your ID card to someone

After further investigation it would seem that your FiveM name is displayed in the top right (your Steam name unless changed).
The cash value may be incorrect initially, but will display the correct value after any change is made to the amount of cash you have on you. Same goes for the bank account.

You are right, not been able to get IG for a bit but that would be what it looks like. Is this just a case of it is what it is and not a bug at all? If so, my bad

As is demonstrated by the image below, the Name shown is your Steam Name and the money is false until updated ingame (by changing the value) as shown in the image also below. 

With this in mind, this isn't a bug and we'll close off this. 

Thank you for bringing it to our attention anyway, more people will learn from this and it'll save further bug reports.

Sorry, either we've been unable to reproduce this bug with enough detail, or its not been considered a bug.
Nevertheless, we appreciate your efforts, please do not be discouraged in submitting new bug reports going forward.​
