Impounding Vehicles

Hi,
I was just wondering what are the rules on police impounding vehicles during bank robberies and during other phases of roleplay.

Because without knowing it or knowing it they could impound our escape vehicle leading us stranded... plus it's kind of unrealistic, as no mechanic would go and detain a vehicle in the middle of a gunfight.

Also, why do police impound their own vehicles in the middle of it all.

Tell me about it, i prefer to whole, im having to call a tow truck, and if its unsafe i wouldn't do that approach. 

Disabling the vehicle is a much smarter idea, and i would hope most people would take that option of simply impounding.

But then on the other side of the argument is the whole, you left you only escape vehicle alone without protection. 

Maybe start getting in the habit of preparing a bank heist rather than simply driving / flying in. Have multiple escape vehicles stashed away nearby.

If you guys were robbing a bank wouldn't you have a getaway driver keeping the vehicle "hot" for a quick escape?

Seems a little bit better to me from a realistic / RP perspective

The "getaway driver" is another man with a gun so we use them in a firefight. We prefer aggressive to passive as we should be. Still think it's weird when police impound their vehicles. They lose cover from them and personally I think they do it so they can't be captured.

Police abuse that all the time, happened to me 2 times by now, i drive Ifrit he drive into me fuck up my car, and he instant impound my ifrit so he can kick me from it. that not RP at all. and when they crash car they impound it so they can get it back use tool kit for mother of god like all of us.
