Imitating an officer?

(11.5) Imitation - Impersonating other members such as changing your name is punishable by a ban.

There's this rule about impersonating other members but I've heard that wearing police clothes e.g police vests is against the rules. I don't doubt this but does anyone know where it says this?

Its against the law, not against the rules

Try not to impersonate me again 😂

Wait, so you are allowed to steal police gear now, as in all their clothes/backpack/whatevs?

Unless I remember wrong that was against the rules half a year back or something like that?

It WAS but now ISN'T a rule.

You cannot steal their backpacks as they don't visibility have one... (they shouldn't drop it and you shouldn't ask for it)

You can, that has been changed in the rules. Not 100% sure on the police clothing, but as far as vests/hats go, knock yourself out.

Thanks for clearing that up, cheers!

If an officer were to drop his backpack even though he's not supposed to, would it be a rule break to pick it up?

If I remember correctly: the taze script only works for cops, so no point in stealing the tazer ait?

You can take the tazer I suppose, but it'll work like a normal pistol.

Don't pick up the backpack full stop, the officer shouldn't have dropped...

Confirmed by staff, provided rule 9.1.2 isn't broken civs can steal and wear officers clothing.

I would like to have all this cleared up with what civs can rob you for etc.
You should have been told in training

unless the rules are changed (in change log and rules page) as a cop you can get robbed for everything but your backpack and it's contents.

Cops aren't allowed to drop the tazer. Pretty sure it is breaking rules.
Unless it's on the rules page it's not a rule tbh, I've never heard that one as it won't function as a taser for Civs anyway

I meant police rule. :p

They obviously shouldn't voluntarily drop anything, but with a gun pointed at them I'm pretty sure they should drop anything they are told to (Except the backpack)
I thought it was the backpack and taser. That is what I am trying to say
