He wasn't bad till he got Sgt in the police.

Then when he left he played like a dick thinking he was the best ever at everything....

and had an attitude like that...

He thought because he was a cop he could break roleplay and say shit was not allowed, not knowing the full circumstances of how he got his ass caught.

we gave him chances, we gave him opportunities...

He was a trigger happy little boy with no aspirations for serious or great roleplay.

However!!!..... he wasn't always bad, maybe power got to his head? I don't know... but It's christmas like @Kris! said... I'f he want's to come back and change who he is fine... but I can't promise the comments "I thought you'd left" won't be thrown at him for a few weeks.

Im trigger happy to ;) Used to.kill cops who chased me in my ifrit, once killed 8 cops in 10m. Until Brat shot me and.he was at 7% health :( But I also enjoy a jolly good RP

I feel as though we now have such an excellent and active moderation team, he won't be able to step forward one pace without us knowing. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and long ago, I also had the same opinion, but if he wants to change, only he can do that - if he intends on being the typical Dante we used to know, it won't be long before he's banned again. I can't see any harm coming from it.

And lastly: To anyone defending this guy, maybe they forget this is a Role Playing community? I never played with him as a cop but as a rebel he was an arsehole and his RP was fucking shit. There, I said it.

If anyone sees the forum banter as bullying then fair play, it's your call. But bear in mind that Dante probably caused a lot of players to leave the server... Whether it be the that means we cannot be cops and rebels any more (Remember that? I bet @ does after investigating it all!) or the fact that RP for Dante was "You have five seconds to drop everything or you die" - *get's sniped*.  Rinse. Repeat. Yawn. Leave.

No, that's banter not bullying: That is karma. His Power Gaming, refusing to lose or apologise was zero fun to be involved with.. He was a name I avoided.

All of this said, I would be interested to see him come back. Provided he is not a total cunt and that everyone has the right to say "I thought you'd left" every time they see him without being accused of metagaming. He should expect banter. Since joining the community some time in March, there have been only two players I truly disliked... Dante being one. 

But hey, everyone deserves a second chance, right? 

*EDIT* I read the posts that Vladic linked to and changed my vote to no. Reason being that people are already arguing about his return and we're talking about a guy who was banned for shit RP in an RP community. I've yet to be convinced otherwise.

On a side note, this post does open the doors to banned players flooding back with appeals. I'm not sure how I feel about that. There should not really be any special treatment for anyone. Rules is rules is rules. Don't like them: Leave. Break them: Get banned. 

Appeal posts undermine the rules and the unban request process in my opinion. There may as well be an extra section on the forum for community votes on appeals - If we're gonna do this then the same rule should apply to all.

That is my point, big guy.

There have been better players banned for less that will never get that 3rd / 4th / 5th chance. I'm a bit torn over this as some players fuck up a couple of times but it's a fact that Dante really pissed off a lot of decent people in the community. I'm intrigued but not convinced that he should come back. I never met his PhantoM persona but I intensely disliked his Dante character so I'm not sure what to think truth be told. 

 
I have not had many dealings with Phantom/Dante, but as he has been away from the community for a while now and more than likely realised that there is no better community, He should be given a clean slate, it is that time of year and personally think he should be given a new start to prove himself.

I did not play on this server whilst he was on it but i voted no. 

I don't see the use in letting someone back in the community that you know of is a troll.

I admire all the work of the admins trying to get this community clean of trolls and people who find it funny to cross the rules. 

But letting someone back in the community that is known of trolling is just some more work you put on the shoulders of the admins. 

I believe in second changes but i also believe that they should not be granted to people that don't deserve them. 

Of course this is just my opinion on this and i do not have a weak heart for people that got banned for trolling.

Also some people here are talking about people can change behavior, i believe this too but they should not have to change their behavior in the first place.

I still have faith with the lad, the only reason i believe personally why he behaved like he did because he got  rank he was not ready for,

I recived my beloved Desk Sergeant rank and i behaved like a fucking dictator and i said: I'm getting the Phantom disease. 

Thank god for my superiours that i got demoted, i learned my lesson well and fought back for my rank, 

I once read a very interesting resignation ( Mitch) and some words stuck in my head: 

"Move up when you are ready and only do what you can handle" 

So yeah, he might not get a spot back in the police force, but he can change atleast :)

Why i am defending him so greatly is because i considered  him a friend.

I understand and respect that, @. My issue was never with PhantoM is was with Dante's RP. We are an RP server after all. I honestly did not know of anyone who enjoyed their interactions with him and we are here to play a game after all. 

Hell, if the community wants him back... Cool. He is going to be under a microscope anyway. As far as I'm concerned, he should probably join the police: There are a few good cops on the force who came in with dirty reputations as rebels and turned it around. 

My main gripe is my belief that no one should get special rules for them unless those rules are open to all. So anyone with both strikes and a ban should have the right to appeal like this via community vote. My interactions with the guy in question were not favourable and he may have been a sterling character other than the incidents with myself and my friends but honestly, I don't want the fucking drama. I wish him luck if he does come back.

They're both the exact same people, they both performed the exact same style of role play. I don't understand why you deserve a fourth chance. You proved over and over again that you were not capable of being modest and considerate on the forums and in game. When role playing you would attack any police officer verbally and physically if they restrained you and you threatened to report them on the forums if they didn't let you go. You combat logged out of your restraints multiple times, you feigned ignorance when I restrained you at one point when I blatantly watched you pick locking a police vehicle. You rejoined the server after posting your leaving notice to specifically join in on the attack against police officers on the server because they had performed capital punishment. Specifically to kill police officers on the force without having to roleplay.

Well... They are the same people... yes. Is the roleplay different between Dante and PhantoM? Yes. Now, it's up to the rest of the community and Wilco to decide. I will not post anything else until the final decision is made. I shall wait and see, but I also tell you that my RP methods are way too different now and better than what they were whenever I was banned, I also spoke with Wilco that if I do get unbanned, the slightest mistake that I make, it's me gone...
