I really like that you banned this member!

Now lets have a little chat about the following:

Liking bans, ban-appeals and report a player posts.

In my opinion this seems like the one of the most toxic and salty things to do on the forums.
It only shows that some people in our community are actually out to ban each-other.

Now I would love to see a rule in place that forbids liking these posts, or (if the option exists) removal of the like button on this forum section.

Now if you disagree with me, please feel free to spark a discussion but keep it civil!

Kind regards,

Icarus

Liking a ban appeal to show respect for someone? I like ban appeals when people really seem sorry for what happened to them. I don't think it's needed -1

To be honest, I don't think it's necessary. Liking ban appeals etc shows respect and support and liking reports shows support or agreement with the post. If people are out to ban people, they will just expose themselves when they like every report open.

Can understand what you guys mean with ban appeals, but I agree that it still stands strong with reports and denied messages on unbans. It's childish and silly and offers nothing constructive or positive to the community.

It always the same thing. Person A from gang alpha gets reported, people from rival gang bravo like the post against person A. What is achieved? Nothing except showing that there are people who carry in-game grudges out of game.

+1

Eh?

What id the problem?

I the like button gets inside your head and you think this is something toxic or whatever. I dont understand..

-1

As much as I feel this offends people, E.G, someone 'well known in the community' gets reported, the eprson who put the report up will get tons of likes which will make the other person upset as it is a sign of not being liked.

I don't like seeing it however I don't think there should be a rule against it. It is something which people want to do and this is a free country. We can't stop people doing something that they feel is right (in an appropiate way).

-1 and a little +1

-1 I think being able to like reports and appeals is a great thing, it shows your opinion in a way without commenting I guess... I dunno but I don't think it needs changing

Would you rather have it so you can't like report a players but you can like unban appeals?

We're getting offended over a like button now?

If it's so bad, just disable it on ban appeals and ban reports, stop being babies.

Idm liking unban requests, that shows support for the person, liking ban requests though; I agree that is a bit toxic.

Nobody is getting offended here, but just think about how it would feel. There is a report against you and everyone from the  'opposing' party likes the message from staff about you getting banned. Does it really help anyone? Or is it like Delta said: taking in-game stuff out of game?

In the end my post is mostly here to get everyone thinking next time they decide to like a ban. I'm glad to see we can actually have a civil discussion about this topic :)

I understand what you mean, just disable likes on the two sections then.

i like report a players if i think its a good report and the player being reported actually deserves to be reported
