I NEED HELP WITH TEAMSPEAK!!!

Hi Guys So I Have Recently Found Altis Life Uk And I Wanted To Be Able To Join Teamspeak! When I Search Up, In Google, 'ts.altislife.co.uk' It Says 'This IP/DOMAIN is not assigned on our server!' Please Help!!!Thanks


 
 
Hi, you need to download teamspeak 3 from here:

https://www.teamspeak.com/downloads make sure to get the latest version!

After setting up, click connect in the top left and put in the IP: ts.altislife.co.uk

You'll need to improve your security level to 28, which will take a few minutes. It should prompt you on how to do it, but you can google it if you are stuck

The 'Altis Arrivals' channel is muted, you'll have to move to a different public room, and check your mic and headset is configured correctly

It's one TS server for all the 3 game servers. So on TS you'll see 'Public' rooms such as The London Room, The Cardiff Room etc etc, you jsut choose one of them and double click on it and you'll join it.

NVM Nobody's In The London Room...So If I Join The Cardiff Room Will Everyone Be Able To Hear Me Or Just The People In The Same Room As Me?

People will be able to hear you in that room if you talk on TS. Check to see if TS is set for voice detection, or key-press.

Bear in mind groups of people might be using a public room to play with their friends, and if you're not in that group you might be disturbing their communications, try not to do any trolling!

 
Ok So I Just went on altis life in the london chat room (nobody's in it) but nobody could hear me in-game...is there a chat room where everybody can hear me?

You need to make sure in the "Settings" option on Arma 3 that you're microphone is set to the correct one, And the default key to speak on arma 3 is "Caps Lock" and you need to make sure when you press "." (fullstop) that you are the direct communication channel on the bottom left of you're screen ;) 

 
Your mic ingame isn't controlled through teamspeak is the first thing you should know.

Your ingame microphone settings can be changed as @Sam Tatoe said above.

Teamspeak is used to communicate with other people who are playing on the server. You use this to not speak ingame but to others who you might meet up with or work together with. Teamspeak is to meet new people on the server outside of roleplay.

So if i just want to talk to people who are near me then i dont need teamspeak but if, lets say, i have a friend but he's really far away then with teamspeak i can talk to him?! So you dont NEED teamspeak to be able to talk to people all you need is your microphone to be set up in-game?!

 
Yes! Although in teamspeak you don't have to roleplay

 
This might not be one of those other altis life servers where you need ts and arma plugins, just talk in game. Ts is for communicating with your friends without speaking in game.

 
Hi!

To talk to people in game, just set up your microphone settings correctly.

Teamspeak is not what we use on this community to talk to everyone. Many servers will use the Taskforce radio plugin, but we do not. So don't worry about that.

Go to configure settings and set up your microphone and keybinds and use your "push to talk key" to talk to people in game.

There are many guides online to set up Arma3 controls so I won't go into details with that.

Please remember to read our server rules before connecting. We are very strict here and for good reason - to keep everything to a high quality.
