For those people who are in the RPUK Milsim group and the ones thinking about it here is the mission schedule for the next month.

I will say this again, please do not turn up and say "just need to download the mods and I will be with you." There are a lot of mods and you do need to download them before hand.

We meet every Wednesday at 7:30 GMT in the Milsim channels at the very bottom of TS.

The coming missions:

Contingency - Part 4 (22nd Feb)

Chernaus

The final part of this 4 part mission sees us taking on the biggest battle we have ever undertaken. It's been a hard fight to get to this point but we are finally ready to take the fight to the Russians. The remains of the chernarus defence force will join forces with the Chernarus defence league to assault electro in a simultaneous move both we and the British special forces we linked up with will take Cherno, although we have the easier of the two we still have a very hard challenge ahead, Cherno is garrisoned by the 2nd Bystrica light  mechanised infantry battalion. This means light armour, gun emplacements and over 300 soldiers.

In desperate need (1st March)

Tanoa

Tanoa has been in a dark place for some time, starting with an attempted overthrow of the recognised government it left the island defenses somewhat lacking. Pirates had always been a big issue on the island but with the lack of both police and soldiers to keep them in check the largest group called Syndikat soon began to establish its dominance throughout the island, 6 months later the problem has gotten so bad there is only small areas under government control. The UN got involved in January but with the current ongoing conflicts they don't have the resources to assist.

In response to this the UN has made the unprecedented decision to employ a private contractors to assist in stabilising the region. After our work in Chernarus and Kunduz we have become the hot new thing in the PMC world. I felt compelled to offer our assistance, not only to help the government but to help the poor people of Tanoa who are desperate for salvation. Nothing gets me out of bed like the thought of helping people! Okay, okay, fine, they are paying us a crap ton of cash and I'm planning to put a swimming pool in my house, that's the reason we are doing it. Due to the terrain we have two little birds to get us about and additional assets arriving shortly. I don't want to give to much away, but we have been granted 3 special weapons licenses, I'm going to be honest there is one I'm staggered they have granted us.

Resist (8th March)

Chernaus

We take the fight north, liberating more of Chernarus.

Opiate of the masses (15 March)

Kunduz

The local warlord Abd Al Aziz in Kunduz has been making several moves against our local forces within Kunduz. Small firefights have been a daily occurrence but our teams have managed to remain safe and stay on top, until Monday. Team 5 left in Hades (one of our two Coyote's) and after an hour of not responding star 1 was deployed and found the wreckage of both Hades and the bodies of 4 crew members. The team leader's body was not recovered and 6 hours later we received a demand saying if we did not leave the country in 72 hours he would be executed. This will not be happening, teams 1,2,3,5 and 6 are now on standby and will be deployed shortly. In 72 hours I want our man back, Abd Al Aziz dead and his empire burning, he will rue the day he crossed Ankou security.

Kings of the sea (22nd March)

Tanoa

After our first successful strike at Syndikat we need to ramp up our efforts, five new teams have been deployed to Tanoa which will defend key areas around the island. There will be new call signs issued to teams, with groups broken down into QRF (quick reaction force) and local defence, teams 1,2 and 3 will become QRF.

My intention is to keep hitting Syndikat in the wallet, several cargo ships coming through the area have been hit, there is call for the expensive new PMC to “get off there arses and do something about it”.

Always wanted to get into the milsim but bit overwhelming. Is being a half decent arma player enough or do I need to know callsigns etc?

Its fine mate, just 10 hours of training, plus two 2 hour tests in which you need to remember all of our commands and call signs. There are 136 call signs and commands you need to remember... Not really though ;)

We are a semi serious group, we don't do parades or huge complicated call signs, the call signs you need to know:

The Teams: Team one, team two, team three

The Vehicles: Vic one, Vic two, Vic three

The little Birds: Star one, Star two, Star three

The Coyotes: Hades, Reaper and Barbarian

The teams have been designed so they are quick to understand and adapt to them, and because we use small 5 man teams you shouldn't feel lost and not know what your doing. Plus your Element Lead (Team Leader) will be able to answer anything in the field. So long as you can shoot you will be fine.

Turn up Wednesday before 7:30, I would recommend turning up for 7 so we can help you with Task Force Radio.
