Noob question

To use inventory storage in your house, such as to store weapons etc, is their a specific thing I have to buy and place down or am I right in assuming the storage box is what I need? if so how do I place it down as I clicked Y and use which didn't do anything so i'm guessing that's wrong.

 
when you bought a house all you need to do is buy a sotrage container then when you're inside the house press Y then press on the container the Use. After that a crate should pop up somewhere in the house :)

Hmmm I've did that twice and nothing has appeared. On the second floor of the house I can't seem to open the door to the room. Not sure if thats normal or if thats where my boxes are and I can't access them.

You buy storage containers from the market i believe also if you want to store something such as weed use T once in your house (just like you do for cars)

Yes I bought the containers and used them in my house but nothing appeared. Thats why I was curious to see if I was doing it right or if there was a seperate item I needed to buy. It's obviously not working as I've bought 3 containers and each time I've used them it has only added more space to my house inventory and hasn't actually added a container to store weapons etc.

 
Go to the Containers press I (like to get into your inventory) and add your items into the containers (items  such as cloths, guns, ammo) and it should save it

There are no containers thats what i'm trying to say... It hasnt added any containers into my house.

Sounds like you've done it correctly.  As previously said, you just buy a Small/Large storage container, go inside your house and "use" the container and it'll spawn somewhere inside your house and that's it.  If they're not spawning its defo a bug, the house knows that you've used them which is evidenced by the T Storage increasing

I can't currently confirm that they havent spawned because if I go upstairs and try unlocking the door, it unlocks the door downstairs. So either this is also normal or I have another bug I need to report haha But when I look into the windows upstairs I dont see any containers

I think it should only spawn 1 or 2 in an area, so if you've used 3 then that third one should be somewhere else.  The door thing is also a bug as well

Oh well yeah my house must be bugged because there are no containers at all and only increased house storage space.

it's on the second floor but there is some houses that won't open that well.

Ahh thanks for verifying that! I've reported the bug as I wasn't sure if this was already an existing issue, plus if it can be fixed it might be specific to each house.

 
It's the white 2 floor houses with 3 crates I belive when you try to unlock the top door it opens the bottom one

At least I know now and have reported the issue. Thanks for the help everyone. Greatly appreciated.

 
Step back a bit from the door when trying to unlock it. It's simple enough you just need to get the hang of it.
