House Raiding

Have no issues with police raiding houses

I do have issues with the people that raided all 3 of my houeses and took everything including hobo  clothes they took stuff that i stole from other people ha

House raiding should definitely be part of the game 100%. At the moment we have an island where rebels have no fear. Worst case scenario is that you'll get 15 minutes of wood chopping as a punishment. Let's assume I have killed 100 cops, stolen 50 cars, smuggled a crazy amount of drugs that value into the millions, Killed civilians for fun (after RP of course) and claimed Kavala as my own.......sure 15 minutes in the slammer is a great punishment! When my time is up I can just go back to my house, re-arm from my military grade arsenal and finish running the drugs I have stored there.

No fear at all.

I am tagging both Neo and CSI Fuel in the hope that they look into this, as house raids are a really good way of crushing a gang.

Plans are being drawn up to be reviewed in terms of house raids. They need roleplay, and that's the focus.

Personally, I believe in a house raid being allowed if sufficient evidence beforehand is given.

IRL the police will not raid a house for the hell of it, they only raid if needed, if no allegations are made towards a property, there is no need to raid it.

@Neo Would loved to be able to assist if at all possible bud. I understand this is a roleplay server and we want the Rebels to have the ability to provide a retort, have them present while we raid etc so we can create a dialogue, but from a realistic perspective there was nothing wrong with what was occurring. it was all carried out and roleplayed well from a Police perspective, if people had specific crimes, they were used against them. It allowed Police to pro-actively target rebels and somewhat scare them. Rebels knew their illegal goods were not safe. It reduced their funding, and potentially their motivation to commit a crime in the first place.

yea

please do involve Walt. .

FRom what I can remember the way he did it was 10/10 as an Si emphasising on RP.

Cheers

Another admin shut it down, I overrode part of it to allow some raids..

Fear not, as long as it's formally sorted, we'll get raids back on track..

Rebels beware!

From what I have been told, it was shut down under the reasoning of "A rebel may purchase a house under a fake name"...

That being said the Police Command are trying to argue the point and managed to get in touch with an Admin who has agreed to pass it up to the ALUK Staff and try get a response...

I guess we'll see...

Hopefully it's looked at within the next board meeting then

Cheers

Police will actually try and make contact with someone they are raiding in real life. Usually when they are inside the property they will make a call to the owner (if they are not present) to tell them what they are doing and if they would like to come to the property. They even leave a note if there is no answer from the owner.

I don't think, in the RP situations, that the owner of the house should be informed of the raid before-hand.  Only being informed once the raid has started or taken place.

Could you make it so raids only happen after a bit of undercover work by the police ? In plain clothes ? and to only the people with higher bounty's on their heads ?

This could open up undercover aspects of RP for the police ? i.e. some sort of plain cloths unit.  Like the C.I.D. or the A(ltis).I.D.
