Brief Summary: 

Add a hotel to the game and choose how many nights you want to stay

Detailed Suggestion:

You can go to a hotel and stay for as many days/hours you want. Prices: 1 In game day = $500, 2 days = $1000 Etc. 

The Pros:

This way there will be more options for places to live and the hotel rooms which are already bought will run out eventually so everyone can have a room at some point

The Cons:

You won't be able to place furniture as you don't keep the hotel forever

Does this suggestion change balance on the server ?

I like this idea. It would help with the constant housing crisis, although not a permanent solution it certainly would help. Of course, it would have to be a little worse than a house/apartment, maybe half the storage and don't allow it to be customized? Otherwise, there would be little point in houses for some people.

You already said it wouldn't have furniture, which then leaves storage. If it did have storage then it would have to be minimal, then what happens if you do not take your stuff out before your time in the hotel is up - do you lose it? What if you got stuck in a joining queue and couldn't get to it in time?

I would suggest a similar system to claiming your items back from the prison. You can interact with the front desk and everything is there, maybe you have to pay a small fine because room service had to empty the room?
