Better? the 1080 is better than having two 980 ti's SLI'ed together, the clock speeds on this badboy are monster. It makes the titan look bad (tho people who only use a titan for gaming are bad)

I won't buy it at first. Typically when a new card comes out it's buggy. Probably wait for the ti version or whatever they brand it as.

the ti version doesnt have to do with hardware bugs, its an upgraded version, in the pricing as well. If I had the money i'd buy the 1080 this instant, I dont tho, so I'll just keep on dreaming. @FM Sage

Wasn't suggesting it did. But, new cards are usually buggy regardless. The TI version would just be my preference if I was to get a new card, is all.

yeah, what Im saying is the drivers are buggy, not the hardware. In the longterm buying a card like the 1080 is a good investment

I currently have a 980ti, an expert review came out today after extensive testing - apparently I would see a 2% increase in performance. Apparently the thermal throttling on this card is so bad that it has to reduce its' clock speed in order to recover.
