Seemed like pretty shit role play if you ask me, course from the police side that is. I've had some fantastic role play with some cops - I explained to them that the weapon I was carrying is an airsoft rifle and it's completely harmless, they still confiscated in the end, but we kept it going for such an awesome period of time. Encounters these days seem to be quick ticket or prison trip with people who power play, metagame or just don't listen to any thing the suspect is saying.

 
Went to HQ and asked for legal advice for hunting rifles :) I got 2 vids on that, will be uploading tommorow

Okay emigrates, maybe not my best roleplay, but to call it "shit roleplay", jesus? Was dealing with a heck of alot in Athira at the time and did my best. Im sure you would have handled it better though.

The bad role play has come from everyone recently. I've spent the last few days as a rebel, trying to organise hostage ops only to get a reply that the police "do not negotiate with hostages", we've organised mass shoot outs with role play only to be labelled RDM'ers because communications on the police side was poor. I've been restrained, left in the middle of a busy road, taken to police HQ and sent to jail without even being advised of my crimes or asked for my name, I've (on several occasions) had to advise PCSO's and other ranks of what and what they cannot do within the police force, from CSO's carrying lethals, pulling out the black off road and breaking NLR's.

I'm a bit sick of it really, just look at that situation with the police teaming up with rebels, shooting at civs, getting them on the ground, carrying illegal firearms and ifrits around police without a single word. Not really acceptable is it? I haven't been on the last few weeks, I'm simply ashamed of what I've seen. I expect more, especially from a white listed group of players, you have to set a standard, cut some time out and deal with things without rushing it.

I would like too see the video's of the black offroads and cso's not carrying lethals as this is not allowed

 
Maybe adding RP scenarios to the training module would do good ;)

Already dealt with by highers and the person in question was removed from the force.

 
I'm learning the ropes as a copper BUT no matter how strong RP is, that is still illegal gear to be roaming around with! 

From my limited understanding I would have said the gun and car were illegal AND you were wanted. Maybe that hunting equipment is acceptable in places like Takistan or Chernaurus but in Athira it's illegal, matey! 

... And I'm a generally a bloody nice bloke! You just can't have people roaming around with massive guns... Or we'll have another Kavala school incident. And we don't want that.

There is basic RP scenarios in the training but as I explained to you yesterday you can not teach people how to RP everybody is different and every situation is different, RP is something they learn along the way, If we tried to teach people to RP then a training session would take weeks.

The training is there to teach somebody how to stand on 2 feet, they learn to walk by themselves.

 
After one night of rolling with the coppers after nearly 7 months of Civ / Rebel RP on the server, I can say... Fucking hell, it's hard as a Cop. Athira last night was like watching bees round a honey pot. 

Only these bees had a mixture of hilarious stories to tell, trolling and absolute bullshit. Oh and two hackers and a few RDM'ers. All within about an hour. 

I can already tell I will be one of those jaded, sarcastic cops.
