Getting kicked

Hi all, can you please help, I am trying to log into Altis Life but when I select the server it looks like it's going to load but then I get kicked right back to the server list, any help would be great, thanks all

Thanks mate, I did try another server but just got a white screen, guessing it's the same issue?

I have no problem going into Epoch servers though..

Hello Gsjway1,

Have you tried verifying your steam cahche, if this doesn't work then condider reïnstalling ARMA III.

What's happening to you isn't really a fault, its more of a little bug in how the Arma client tries to connect to a full server.

Essentially what is happening is below:

- Someone leaves the full server.

- 17 people are mashing "Enter" to attempt to join the server.

- Multiple people get into an initial "connecting" screen, it's the map screen.

- Only 1 person will actually complete a full connection and get into the server.

- All other players get kicked back out to the multiplayer menu with "Connecting Failed".

This is normal for the Arma 3 client, nothing can be done to fix it really.

Just keep mashing "Enter" and you'll eventually be one of the lucky people trying who makes a successful connection.

This is why you don't get the issues on non-full servers.

Also, ignore what Puppy is saying, there's nothing wrong with your Arma 3 client.

^ This is very accurate.... As Arma never thought of creating a que system, it rely's on people constantly whacking spacebars and enter keys to gain a place on the server.... for the average server this is fine... but for more popular servers, it's you and about 20+ other people trying to grab the exact same slot....

Just keep trying... my longest record of spamming a macro was about 27 minutes.

Me again, the plot thickens...

Tried getting on and it gave me a load of file names etc and said uninstall all these files, it's the epoch mod I installed, do I really have to get rid of these files to get in?

 
It may be a server issue, or the server it's full in which case it will kick you off and then say 'connecting failed'.

Not really sure on this one, I don't really install mods.

Logic would tell me that there's a way to activate / deactivate the mod and its files without having to uninstall them... but someone else will need to confirm that.

 
I once waited around 45 minutes to get on the server, I get on and there was like 8 minutes until restart (I forgot to check the time) I was gutted.

I was just kicked by drew and I did nothing wrong
