Gaining XP

hi guys 

Recently im having issues gain xp doing certain things in game .

If i do anything I either dont get any xp or the xp it say's im getting doesnt show up  in my  pda when pressing y 

For example: I just did a apple run with a friend ,  i got no xp for picking the apples , no xp for making cider, i got some xp for selling it however im still sat at 0xp

This goes for everything i try to do that gains XP

is there a cap on the amount of xp points you can gain from doing these activities ?  if not is there a way to check why im no longer able to get XP, as you can see from the video the game sometimes gives me XP but i remain sat at 0 , this has been going on a few week's  and as im not longer gaining skill points i need this fixing

That is because it levels up you're profession level not you're XP level.

You can find you're profession level on the Y menu 

If you would like to gain XP the best way which I have personally found is to mine with you're pickaxe (Copper, Iron, Diamond)

The higher you're profession level is in a certain area the faster you are able to process the items.

thats my point nothing is gaining any XP  towards Skill points , maybe the video is a bad example for that , doesnt matter what i do or what i use, whether its salt, iron, meth anything  nothing is gaining me XP towards skils

the cap is at 4000 exp, 40 skill points, 8 learned skills

cheers lemmen that would explain alot , thought it would of been added  that there was an XP cap somewere on the forums, there's me thinking I had something wrong with me game..
