Fps Drops ;/

Hellow guys  im new and wh i have big fps drops ((

My PC: Video card: GT 740 1 GB DDR5

Processor: AMD athlon II x4 860k 3.7 ghz

4 GB ram 1600mhz

ASRock  FM2AS58M-HD+

and 500 GB HDD 32mb cache sata 3

i play arma 3 single player with 50-80 fps and multiplayer with 20 -,-

Unfortunately mate, your specs explain it all. Multiplayer game modes are a lot tougher for a computer to handle as servers are running custom scripts and frameworks unlike singleplayer. I found this out the hard way aswell so I balled out with €1000 in my pocket and one goal.

I have a i7 4790k, 16gb ram, hd 6790 1gb.

I get a few freezing frames on this server.  Not that sure about average fps tho, not off hand.

I used to have a 640 propus, with a oc on it, only towards the end of oc did it get a big performance boost.  It went from 3.5gflops to 4.2glops... something like 17% increase.

Altho oc your cpu will do better then my old amd did.... it still was pretty unplayable on that amd build.

I'd say when you test SP, test the campaign 1st mission where the heli is flying and and use steam's fps thing to watch your fps, when its good there it will be decent on a server.  When you get on a server it loads up your 1st core more as there is multiplayer stuff or something with other stuff alson running on the 1st core.

Use taskmanager and msi afterburner to monitor your cpu per core/thread and gpu usage.

Ive got an i74xx with 16gb ram and r9 2gb and in towns my fps can drop from 60 to 30 or so. Got everything on high and ultra. Maybe you should press 6 and set kavala mode on. This removes grass and things and gives better fps they say

You don't have a diffrence between Ultra or Standard , if you have a decent GPU , but if you have a weak CPU try to lower your render distance , or look op some FPS improvement video's , some of them helped me out with improvement , also try to look up for settings matching your CPU and GPU.

i5 4440, gtx 745 dont use them, they suck dick except for the cpu. next build im getting a i5 4690k gtx 970 so i should be good
