Make a poll at top of what suits people best (normal server,vatsim or general aviation or airliners). Also does normal fsx work on steam fsx servers? That may be an issue

I will make a poll on the proper post, I don't think the standard edition works with the Steam edition as the old edition still uses GameSpy servers which have been discontinued.
