Faster Fire Rate For Standard Pistols And Combats On foot + More recoil

Brief Summary:

Increase the Firerate to a more realistic ROF for these handguns

Detailed Suggestion:

With the new damage system using a pistol like the standard or Combat is painful. It takes around 4-5 Headshots at pointblank to put someone down. That not even counting those dumb helmets everyone wears. I propose a change to the rate of fire to more accurately simulate the real life counterparts. A Glock 17 can put a stupid amount of rounds down range IRL, something like x2-x3 the current vanilla rate of fire and I Believe this will add a good balance. With a recoil change this can make the sidearms act reliably in situations where they are used defensively and then alot more difficult to use at range. 

For example how this can help. Regular officers who arent in Firearms have their pistols for defensive use. However 9/10 Times  *In my situation* when ive had to actually resort to using my sidearm the damage combined with the low rate of fire gets me killed more times than i care to admit. But with an increased rate of fire, situations that call for it such as a knife-man charging you and a taser is proving UN-effective you can effectively stop the threat by being able to put that many rounds into them at the close ranges. 

Attached i have included a mod ive used in my own LSPDFR SP playthroughs that i cant live without. And it already has the main balance to it

  • The fire rate stays the same in vehicles

This would prove necessary as if the rate of fire is increased then the toxic vehicle shootouts would be even harder to stop cos you would get slapped.

Onto my second part which would also add to this system and that is increasingly the recoil of the pistols dramatically. A good double to what they are now. They are sidearms and should only really be used in close quarters so the recoil that could be added would balance them being turned into fast firing, no recoil snipers.

The Pros:

  1. Viable Sidearms for regular police and civs that can actually do the job well.
  2. Stops the pistol and car sniping meta
  3. Makes people think twice about attacking a STO



The Cons:

  1.  Might result in more shootouts with pistols
  2. More cops being robbed for their glocks
  3. People moan at the fast rate of fire.



Does this suggestion change balance on the server ?

Yes. Gives regular cops a fighting chance.

Same, i think this suggestion goes full circle into the one that is already up about the headshot meta.
