Fallout 4, do you think its shit?

So i have played around 11 hours on fallout so far, and i wan't to hear other peoples opinions as i am pretty disappointed. The game play is quite fun , the graphics are shits ( looks like they are on xbox 360), the discussions in game are repetitive and boring. Frame rats locked at 30 FPS on high and ultra even with a good computer. The only thing i really enjoy is the building your base part. What are your opinion?

Uhhh well, Having got a pure 60FPS experience on Ultra graphics for more than 24 hours so far on fallout 4, and having progreesed into the story line so much that I can't wait to continue playing I would like to say that I find it a buggy as hell game with some silly dialogue that I can not help from playing because of its silliness and amazing game play.

All in all 9.5/10 for the game as it is buggy but w/e so is ArmA III and we all play that.

Its great! I'm normally averaging 45 FPS at 4k ultra. I haven't even been using VATs that much cos the gun play is much improved. I don't play fall out games for the graphics, I play for the emersion. I'm "loving' it" as Burger King says - or is that KFCs tag

You can't really say the graphics are 'shit' when you have not maxed them out, Fallout 4 is aimed a specific type of game group; free roamers looking for great stories. I personally believe you should just go back to GTA V if that is your opinion on the game.

Fallout games are not played for the graphics, it's the gameplay/story. Graphics are good for games that want to tell a story E.G MGS5. But Fallout lets you make your own story up, I guarantee you will not have the same play through as anyone else who has the game So much choice in Fallout is amazing I never lost my mind playing it.

But I've put about 25 hours into the game and boy...I love every minute of it. Few settlements with settlers who have a uniform. I haven't even gone to Diamond city yet.

Im not saying i dont like the game, as really i do love it. Its just annoying being capped at 30FPS with a 970 , I5 4K90 over clocked to 4.3 GHz , 16 gigs of ram. Its a good game but it was just way to over hyped. Not even given an option to change my FPS as i can reach well over 60 FPS in all other games. Its a good game , but still disappointing.

I havent dropped below 50 on Ultra. I personally think the graphics are beautiful and I'm yet to encounter any bugs with 28 hours. I love the game and cannot fault it really!

I give it somewhere up from 9.5/10. Excellent game.

I'm on a 970 and have been getting 50-60 on Ultra? Wut

+1 everything here. The gunplay is massively increased and I feel much more confident using free-aim than VATs now. The second part is also true, but I personally think the graphics are great with everything on max!

I love it, game of the year, shame since MGSGZ was really good but I can't find bad about fallout 4 so far!

I will say I have had VERY mild issues with a stutter frame drop at point, but research lead me to find that it's to due with Shadow distance, notch them down to medium and it went away, everything else is on Ultra, 50-60 fps while recording.

If anyone is getting issues as well try putting the game in "windowed mode and borderless"

oh and the majority of my time has been spent going "OMG A FUCKING DESK FAN!!"

I think it's brilliant, not gonna lie I torrented it on PC just to make sure it lived it to the hype, I played for to hours and decided to buy it for PC and Xbox one (wanted to be able to play it in bed) only thing that does my head is that I forget to quick save , and as I like like to wonder the waste land it really hurts when you've been scavaging for 4 hours or so, killing every thing in sight like a boss, then out of no where a bloodbug or something equally ridiculous can instantly put you in your place, God damn bugs!

Thanks a lot mate , tried to look around this for a long time , now i am easily hiting 60 FPS with no problems :)

@Hoggie rather than playing in window mode - you should be able to hit 60fps on ultra with a 970 - my housemate has the 970 and has no issues. Check your nVidia control panel and fallout settings in the launcher that the display mode is not stuck at 30Hz. I know on some displays if you try setting the res so say 1440p it locks to 30Hz = 30Fps. 60Hz Display - 60fps.

@NeoAre you running a 144Hz display? I've seen some reports of people having glitchy problems with Terminals at higher than 60 rates as the engine while modded from skyrim is not designed to run over 60fps.

glitchy terminal can happen depending on many things... FPS included, change it to windowed borderless. Problem solved.

Strange that Windowed-Borderless is a fix for these issues. I just let it crank itself to ultra and played away. Not using a 144hz screen though. I do know that in the game VSync is a locked-on option which can cause some problems with frame stutter.

I think it's a good game from what i've played so far - it definitely feels much harder and less on-rails than new vegas or fallout 3. I am disappointed though that games now are Developed on PC for console, crippled for the console hardware and then ported back to PC and not un-crippled due to the cost. I miss PC games being written for PC first, and then ported to console. I guess now more game sales come through console platforms than PC.

@Unlucky George, believe that quote is from MCD ;)

And i really enjoy the game anyway, running 60+ FPS on very high/ultra graphics :D  Got it on release, and i've been at it around 80 hours since i believe, not so much lately though :p
