Election Day 2017 & Results Discussion

Second vote of my life today, still quite awkward at the polling station, when you're the only person there and the people working at the station are all staring at you, while you root through your bag and pockets for your poll card, find out you don't have it then have to stand there while the bloke flicks through hundreds of sheets of paper to find out if I was registered. Jolly good fun.

Had that happen where I live Aiden in Dorset shown up and the deathly stare

A tougher win than expected, but a win nonetheless. Here's to 5 more years in number 10! (Hoping May stays PM, but still debating the idea) . Think this was also a good wake up call that a few of our seats need looking at next election. Thanks to everyone who voted and helped put a stop to Corbyn's far left version of Labour.

Except we will probably be voting in October again........

Not a chance, no Tory PM would be daft enough to call a snap-election again after that fiasco 😂 Think they have learned their lesson

They might not have a choice. May is more than likely gone. Would you form a coalition with an untested Conservative leader? If the DUP can shore them up to 326 seats we might see a coalition but my guess is no one will form a government and we will be voting again in October.

i really do fear for the future of this country , just a shame my kids have to grow up in it , wish id moved to canada when i had the chance

Gotta hand it to the Conservatives for digging themselves a bigger hole sadly, it's the case of being in a coalition with the DUP which has Loyalist ties with the certain paramilitary organizations situated in Northern Ireland and also some in the DUP believe that climate change isn't a thing... must be great for plenty of upholding Tory MP's who're thinking why they're going to be in a coalition with these lot alongside them in Parliament.

Tough win? shes a coward XD you know a political party is failing when they need to join a coalition with a DUP facist party to actually win a majority.

So now we have a PM who wants poor families to pay for school lunches when they can't even afford gas and electric, a PM who is Anti gay rights along with the DUP, a government that is anti abortion, and a government that will bend you over and shaft everyone one of us.

The conservative party is in termoil and i hope that corbyn will still be PM by a minority government.

I disagree with the DUP, the only good thing about them is that fact they are loyalists which gives them a little respect from me.

Mr. Wilco, Close down this Thread! Please... It's almost Sunday in the UK.
