General Election 2017 - Election Day Discussion & Result Discussion​

This is the official thread on RPUK that will be active from now until Friday evening, We want to keep Roleplay UK a stress free friendly place so please follow these simple rules.

  • This is the only thread that will be allowed, Other threads or status updates from now onwards will be removed.
  • No party promotion images.
  • Keep things constructive, Personal attacks or taking this out on the server/forums/team speak will not be tolerated.
  • Respect others and their democratic right to vote for whoever they wish for whatever reason that is close to their heart even if you do not agree.
Enjoy the day, the results and any constructive discussions you might have.

I personally want to hear everyone's reason for voting a particular party.

whether it be educational, taxation decisions, foreign policy, or whatever other reason.

i just want to know. Why you vote a particular party. :)

Tomorrow i will be voting labour - the reason is simple in my eyes - i have to make a choice in which party that will mess up the country less

also a few other things i like to see is 

4,000 homes for people with history of rough sleeping

i was homeless for a while when i was younger so this is a big thing for me to support 

Scrap bedroom tax and reinstate housing benefit for under-21s.

iv lived in a council house since i was 17 years old - i relied on housing benefit and it saved me from being out on the street 

Winter fuel allowance and free bus passes kept as universal benefits.

 this is not so much for me but just for the people i am close to who relies on winter fuel allowance and free bus pass's just to live a normal day to day life 

 
personally i'm conservative

i think that the general parties this year are just not fantastic but i believe equal opportunity but not equal salary is the best way to go. Hard work pays off, no work doesn't.

also in the nicest way possible, i think jeremy corbyn would have no clue what hes doing if he had that power. I also think conservative is better because people such as nia griffith and dianne abbott just don't make sense, i disagree with majority of what they say. at the end of the day, neither are great but conservative wins it for me.

(labours records are incorrect too, they came to my door and said my dad was 92 when he's 56...)

if only the world was perfect :(

im voting labour 16-24 plus im a student no tuition  fees to pay back

Got my first ever vote in, and arguably it is for the most important election that the UK will ever see...

I won't post who I voted for, but I'm sure you can make an educated guess. 🌹

Completely forgot about registering, by the time I'd bought about it I was already on holiday and have minimal internet access!

I hope as many of you that have the right to vote used it!

 
I voted for the first time today, but unlike most i have followed and studied alot about politics in the UK and USA and will hope to study it in UNI, also like any good man, i voted
