Rebels, I understand you may find it fun to hold up cops for there things and ziptie them. It's not always fun on the other side...

The moment I leave the HQ I am constantly looking over both shoulders, it's just not fun anymore. Honestly I urge every one of you to at some point be a cop, even for just a day to see what it is like. many a time I have been having a purely innocent RP session with someone and I'm rudely interrupted by a gang member shouting 'Drop your shit you are surrounded!'. I hear people combat it by saying 'you're a cop get used to it'. A lot easier said than done when you have had nearly 6 months of it. I would love to RP as an unarmed cop in Kavala or Athira but I simply can't because I know rebels will immediately fuck me over...

We pull people over looking to deal with their bounty of 50k that can EASILY be roleplayed out of and end up in the back of a rebel truck on the way to the red zone.It may well be that we need more activities for rebels or that you are also bored but please for the love of god give us a fucking break.

aye, 1 second your being revived by a Medic and on 1 second after you are being held up by rebels.

It depends on the situation I would say, if you are being held up purely for your gear then I can understand the frustration. However, if you are being ziptied for roleplay purposes and it is decent roleplay, surely it is worth being tied up?

Everytime I hold up an officer, I do my best to give great roleplay. I also let the blueberries run away, I made it a rule in my gang to never execute blueberries. I can't stand gangs that do it.

I recall you have tons of protocols to prevent this,

When i used to be a cop i always had a partner, ALWAYS.

If he Roleplayed i stood watch, if i roleplayed, he did. It's just that simple.

The moment you hear "drop your shit" you call in that your being surounded or kidnapped.. if i'm right reinforcements should zerg the area within minutes.

It's one of these things you simply cannot prevent nor whine about, it's going to happen, ALOT.

So not to be rude and all: Deal with with it if your a cop.

This is a whine post, i'm sorry but it is.

So because I'm a cop I should tolerate crap RP of the same situation over and over and over?

I agree I dont have enough fingers to count how many times I have experienced poor rp from various ammount of gangs only interested in a police car/gear only to be executed.

Be more vigilant... dont let your guards down.

Simple as that. That's how you prevent it.
Police can't control all situations. If there are two police then 4 or more rebels turn up with guns in their faces, there's not much they can do.

I understand you,

If i recall, if it's actually becoming a major problem for the Police Wilco might step in and stop all kidnappings of cops for a while so things cool down. Happened before and will happen again i guess ;P

I once tried to pull someone randomly with the aim to tell them that their one of their tail lights is broken and I'll repair it temporarily until they are able to see an ARAC, get instantly shot....

At the end of the day, even though we are playing ARMA we are playing on a RP server. If you really would rather have a gunfight (nothing wrong with one from time to time) over an RP session, then your best playing Wasteland, KOTH, Battle Royale, etc.

I would only suggest maybe adding the rank of PC to the list of officers not allowed to be taken hostage. This will also force people to roleplay that officers rank out of them so they know if they can take them hostage or not.

I've played as a rebel and am currently a cop, it happens to both sides just as much..

Tampax i really like you i really do but were getting arrested at weed fields towns etc but were not going around making posts about were getting arrested. And if a rebel tries to make a post police force jumps in and says 'if you cant do the time dont do the crime' it is all vice versa. I was a rebel and then a SGT and i am a rebel now again. Now maybe all rebels group up and start saying 'If you cant handle the stress dont be a cop' because i am really getting bored these kinda posts. Its getting regularly much and it started become annoying. Everytime a cop gets a bad RP gets kidnapped etc i see one more thread up on the forums...

I know that it's not fun anymore, but neither is being rubber bulleted without even hearinf a single word by ~10 cops at processing plants. When you go and get a story, you always seem to get: "Oh but you are at a processing area and you may have a gun on you, I am a cop. This is what I am supposed to do".
Ever thought for 1 second that rebels are supposed to REBEL against the system?
I understand where you are coming from, but most cops do the same.
It works both ways, Tampax...

People say role-play your way out lmao, Its only worked twice for me and thats when I knew the two guys. Walt and .

The other 100 times never worked.

Can't agree more Tampax. Everytime you pull someone over you get shot, you shoot them or "its my friends car". Not to forget the powergaming, valuing your life ,the amount of GoPros on Altis and the 6000 snipers you're constantly reminded about.

Go browse the forums from the START of UNMC and you'll see some very good rp then.

And yes you'll always have shit roleplayers at PCSO/PC and I feel your pain.

Actually got this on video when I was a medic, attempting to RP and UNMC came and took cops hostage

On that note... maybe we can say that medics take custody of the person they revive for 5-10 minutes (and nobody can take that person from a medic) to allow RP [new rule]...    I too have had people follow me somewhere, wait for me to revive the person, then just run up and take them hostage/rob them... made me wish I had a M2 with a 200round belt feed to unload on them....

you're right on the two way thing and i appreciate that when rebels die they lose their gear but you've got to consider that what a rebel experiances once is a cops game. Rocking up to weed field and getting straight up executed for it is not fun. Atleast when a cop engages a rebel we've got the option of none leathal granting a chance at an RP session.
