Sooo title may not make sense I couldn’t really think of it but here’s the thing……..
I’ve been called to cells a few times now as NHS and when someone has been shot stabbed or similar we can RP a DNR or death no problem with quality RP etc however……there’s been multiple times that I’ve attended and one only last night where the injured person has had minor injures no where near life threatening and was speaking to the police fine and as we enter goes do not resuscitate and plays dead to avoid what happens to be a large prison sentence and even when we say things like it’s just a bump to the head not sure why they aren’t responding they basically press E and die.
I assume this is to use the new life rule to avoid prison I would like to see cases where this happens that when they return they still serve the prison time if it’s shit RP like that, like I say if they have severe injuries by all means RP your death or whatever but a minor boo-boo will not kill you and it’s a crap way of avoiding doing your time, don’t want to do time don’t play crim

Yea 100% the thing I’d like to see is the prison sentence forced back on them so it puts people off this crap and they gain nothing, it wastes other people time and ultimately it’s just poor as well as that rule break

Nothing keeping you from just picking them up anyways, you're the one in control the medical RP. if they aren't providing high quality RP themselves you can just provide it instead and DNR them or pick them up depending on what kind of RP you're going for.

And like Steve said it's powergaming so if you clip it and report it then a 600 month sentence isn't what they should be worried about anymore.
Do remember though that the menu you see when checking people over isn't accurate and most injuries should be RPed through /me

Totally agree there was no /me either in this case. But yea normally always go with the rp not the list 🙂

I would like to see more of a Arma3 style where NHS can reset the countdown for the injured. Giving the hem more time to deal and provide proper roleplay with people.

This could be easily roleplayed as semi stabilising people.

I agree with your idea but the issue is that NHS really do not have the whole information of what happend on the scene so their is bit of information gap, for example I was connered and sprayed by about 5 firearms units a while ago but was still revived by NHS in about 2 mins which isnt very realistic so it kinda goes both ways so it really is on a case by case basis. I appreciate that its shit that someone gets a knee scratch and DNRs but I would agree with steve that it better falls under the umbrella of power gaming.

what may better is a minimum number of injuries or type of injurt that enables a player to inact DNR.

E.G . You must have at leatst 3 stab wounds/ injuires. or one GSW to the head.

I know this is some seriour work for devs somewhat revamping the medical system when there are other more important tasks but the reason I'd suggest this is as I can see the proposed idea clashing with NLR which imo only addd to the problem of the whole situation thst being the lack of realism. :)

Yea I agree there’s many angles to look at it from the example case we were informed he hadn’t eaten and slipped and bumped his head on the mattress of the cell bed so we treated the bump tried to go with minor concussion etc but ultimately they ended it

The thing is that wouldn't work as any drop from more than 40FT is considered lethal
Thanks for pointing thia out and yes I agree therd are a few holes in my sugesstion which can only be filled throgh discussion. As for this one prehapse there maybe a way to implement a sysyem where the higher you fall from the more injuries u recieve. I.E 10ft fall equals sprained ankle, wrist fracture ect where as a 40ft fall equals broken leg, spinal damage , head truma ect.

yh in situations like that its just poor RP and Powergaming which imo should allow NHS to force res.

NHS are already the deciding party if you live or not, doesn't really matter the injury.

that being said, you should ofc go off what's being told /me'd and injury wise.

if a person is downed and speaking absolutely fine to people up until you revive they're clearly fine enough to be revived

I haven't witnessed this specific situation so won't judge but when my character dies its usually because the first aid I've received is either really bad or I get ignored.

Although you've given me food for thought regarding another issue....
