Cops/Individuals/Gangs Roleplay.

Cops,Individuals and Gangs really need to stop with this terrible roleplay, it's pushing people away not just the cops even people who play rebel or are here for the individual roleplay. Over the past few months everytime I try to pull over a rebel in a sports hatchback or an SUV over for speeding or a minor fine such as 3 vehicle thefts, all I get greeted with is a firearm and screamed at either being robbed or kidnapped, like cmon? For a minor ticket or a bit of roleplay..This is supposed to be a serious roleplay community but it's constant hostage ops, bank ops and gunfights over petty things just so you can get a few clips for your frag montage. It's not just the cops who are suffering as me and a few others have been on police holiday and I unfortunately cancelled mines because it was so bad and others I know that are friends contemplated leaving due to the roleplay their getting from these gangs, police and or individuals.

There's times in the morning/afternoon where you get the best roleplay from cops, individuals and with gangs some of their friends aren't all online to pressure them into initiating on the cops or another gang. This isn't a dig at the gunfights, everyone loves gunfights but people love them too much that they refuse to roleplay at all and then soon as you eventually get one of them restrained and try to roleplay with said person all we get is "Unrestrain me now or you're all going to be killed" we ask for a warning shot and sometimes we get one sometimes we don't because their snipers aren't in position, then that turns into a gunfight which all started due to us chasing a vehicle for speeding or hes wanted for killing 3 people? I remember where I could roleplay out of a lot of things that i was wanted for and some I couldn't but I had good roleplay with the cops in which i told my gangs mates to leave it because i had some good roleplay and i wasn't too fussed about my bounty regardless if it was 100k or 2mil. I have even seen some cops but not all cops that have been giving rebels and civilians really poor roleplay, for instance if someones trying to roleplay their way out of a murder or theft. That said officer just refuses to believe the individual or gangs roleplay story and try to win constantly which is very poor in mines, other cops and peoples view.

Can we please have those community meetings so gangs and police can resolve stuff that's happening? It's tearing this community apart and the rebel liaison room is not working that much. We need to hear it from everyone's side and not just one sided reports, videos, screenshots.

This isn't here to cause drama, it just needs to stop and seeing loads of people leave or wanting to leave due to it, isn't good at all.

+1 Lately when I see cops pulled over I get out my sporty and try to role-play and they end up driving off.

+1

There needs to be some improvement, even if it just starts with the little things like using roleplay to get out of a minor offence rather than using rifles

+1 I support this Liam.

Isnt there a Community Manager position in the works for things like this?

Yeah i know right, like rebels take a cop hostage to RP with him giving no demands  in terms of gear saying he will let go and we are still shot at after police being warned his life might be in danger !!! I have discussed this with staff and others about this issue as a whole, as you have stated "some cops give poor RP to civs and rebels" and you also discuss the rebel side of RP when pulling them over etc. The issue is it works both ways, if the "minority of cops" (In my opinion at the current time it is not) stopped being such assholes to civs and rebels then it might provide more of a incentive for rebels to talk their way out of it. The issues start when it becomes easier to simply use your gun instead of your mouth and to a lot of people that is how it can seem at times. I have seen cops on may occasion produce this behavior as I have seen rebels and both sides currently are just as bad.

You also discuss the liason room and the lack of improvements there. Well nothing has changed in the past 3 months, always the same "police comms" or "I don't know who was in charge or who gave the order" leading to pissed off rebels to carry over and continue this Cop V rebel mentality. It goes without saying that rebels are not perfect in this regard either but from a rebel standpoint you can see how this is a frustrating response to receive about a situation as you cant even discuss it with the person in question so we can all improve our RP as a community.

No.

But it terms of this Thread, YES.

After leaving the police I see it on the other side. I don't do anything that will annoy the police too much, I.E Banks, Hostages Etc. But I feel bad for cops, Hostage op, then bank, then 3 hostage ops, big gun fight, Bank op. It's horrid.

What rebels need to realise that it is FUN TO LOSE! In my opinion losing a gun, going to jail etc is fun. So long as your RP is good, and the police is. Too much of it now is. Let me go or die, follow me and die. Die this, Die that. It is SHIT Roleplay. You know who you are.

Honestly, after seening some of Vladic's comment, I'm temped to name and shame people who I meet with Poor RP.

This is my message to everyone, RP up. Get good, or get lost.

Yes, agree on this. Maybe not the entire Police force, UNMC, NHS and all of rebels. Maybe the most important ranks.

Police: Rep's (can discuss what needs to change in RP) and feed it back, SI's and CSI's.

Rebels: Gang leaders / Co - Leaders

NHS: CMO

UNMC: General or whatever rank is below that

And any Staff / Management / Member Support can come as well.

Sir Liam, this is so true buddy and sometimes I don't see the point in patrolling sometimes because with in the first hour, I am in a gun fight, sometimes we get great roleplay and it is something that has slowly declined in the past few months, but a community meeting is a great idea and will give all factions a chance to share their concerns +1 bud!

So let me get this right because cop role play is "out the car or be tased" that is acceptable. But because rebels don't want to be followed around by the endless supply of police "stop following or you will be shot" is unacceptable after we have been told we will be fired upon if we don't surrender yourself and our weapons ?

"Fun to lose" Yeah man, I love being carted off in a police car having nothing said to me for 30 mins so they can watch the prison before they send me there instantly after we arrive to stop my mates from getting me back. Of the few times i have been to prison nothing was fun about being dumped in the car being told to be quiet to waste 20 mins or whatever it is in prison. Ironically enough I have never seen a cop complain whey they win, people seem to pull this shit RP card when they lose but never if they win because they had the upper hand etc. It might be fun to lose is the experience was more enjoyable but i can safely say for the most part it is not especially when they "suspect people at the prison," and you end up wasting 1/8 of a restart in a police car by yourself.

You don't do anything that annoys the police ? Well there goes most of rebel game play as rebel and police game play have a conflict of interested wont do the bank because it will piss them off ? Because rebels love being arrested and it totally doesn't piss them off when they lose their LRPS or black mk 1 or anything. While I am not all for this always winning mentality etc it seems to be something that lingers in both sides although I will admit mainly rebels but more recently I have seen this kind of attitude increase when interacting with police.

well said Liam. It's come to a point where if you get pulled over the cops will drive to a distance to be safe even if the person is unarmed. To be fair though if someone is wanted for murder then they may be aggressive as that may be their role play character.

I wish it was like the old days, whenever people were getting chased most of them would pull over, now days rebels will jump out with a rifle and expect police to do nothing.

Hello fellow gamers,

This topic has risen many eyebrows within the community, especially the Admin/Support team. And therefore hopefully there will be a date announced to have a community meeting with all the leaders of different factions to sort this issue out and try to find a solution where everyone is satisfied. Its been awhile since we had a community meeting also, so please be patient in the meantime as a date will be posted soon.

Thank you

I think rebels now stick to a script of some sort because I hear this too often: "Put you hands up *ziptied* we will un-ziptie you and you will drop everything and if you turn around you will be shot", I try to break this up by asking them to have a man to man conversation, it has only worked a few times and I respect the people who actually talk to me and I'm more willing then to give up my weapon. Some of them will say that the police use a sort of script "Hands up or you will be tazed" this is a valid point that rebels bring up but I believe it makes more sense for the police to use a script because that is how they're trained in the real world.

It doesn't take much to add roleplay to a robbery.

Example: (I used this recently & it worked very well and I believe that the victim was very compliant)

Me: Alright sir, Have you had a nice look at our selection of weapons (at Zaros handgun store)

Victim: Yes, just purchasing some ammunition for my weapon

Me: That is lovely, well unfortunately this is going to be a robbery, so could you put your hands above you head, please

Victim: This happens to me all the time

Me: I know the feeling but I must do this *grabs wallet*

*take gentleman to other side of zaros*

Me: Got anything valuable in your vehicle

Victim: Not that I know of

Me: Wouldn't you mind if I could get the key and go and look

Victim: Sure *shows where key is, I take*

Partner of mine goes and looks and I let the man go without taking his weapon because I don't need a weapon that I will never use. Apparently my partner drove him back to Kavala, see not all robbery's are that bad if you just talk to the victim.

(This is as much as I can remember as I'm never that good at remembering a lot of roleplay situations)
