Copper disappears when I disconnect

When I disconnect from the server, the copper from my backpack and truck both disappear. This happened to me twice now and I lost almost 200k because of it. One time was because of the server restarting. My food, tea and pickaxe all stay in my inventory when I relog though.

What can I do to stop this from happening?

You cannot logout with Copper, or most of the other work items. This is to prevent you mining -> logging out and then logging back in near the processing / selling location.
