Hi there, just thought I would take to here as I remember seeing something somewhere on this forum a good while back now about how we (as a community) can be a lot more friendly to new players or just a lot more friendly in general whether this be IC or OOC.

I have played this community for what 2 years roughly now and that is nothing compared to some but I have a fairly good understanding to how the community is and how it has evolved over the 2 years. I really do like this community hence why I have played it and always enjoyed having a laugh and everyone getting involved and yes simply having an enjoyable time. That is how RP is supposed to be right?

I really like the way things are run and feel like we're in away unique to other communities with what we do but I also understand that all communities function in a different way than others otherwise, well it would be boring right?

When I first came to this city as a new player I remember how helpful some people were, people would quite happily show me the ropes and were very helpful upon showing what different paths for RP were and so on and I really appreciated the help as well as this creating more RP too as I enjoyed it and wanted to do more. Don't get me wrong, I know this stuff still happens today but I do get the feeling sometimes that when a new player has just arrived a lot of the time they're labeled and then people sometimes see this as an opportunity to jump on the fact that they're new to carry on having a go for their own enjoyment or benefit. At the end of the day were a community and regardless of whether someone is old/new, part of a gang/group/business/staff team/dev team the fact of the matter is we're all here as a community to roleplay and have a laugh without forgetting its a video game so lets do so without excluding specific players because of a 'title' or because you don't want to RP with specific people because they are not part of 'your crew' or they're new. If anything, them being new should be even more of a positive as it would bring in something new to the table and add to the community we already have.

Following on from the groups thing, although this is going a little off topic to what I am originally saying, the majority of people usually find a group they stick to and that is fair enough as its only natural! I would love to encourage people to genuinely be a lot more sociable I guess with other members of the community you maybe have not spoken to before as this is needed IC massively in my opinion. This would again create fresh new storylines and generate more RP.

Most people will probably skim past this and it might not get seen by many. If you have had a read through I appreciate your time for doing so. Upon moving forward it would be great to see a lot more of a welcome to the community in my eyes and get people interacting with different players for all the right reasons of course by having a good time and doing what we do best, Roleplaying. :)

Many thanks.

It's simple, if we scare all the baldies away by bullying them the server will bleed out and die. Be nice to others, including baldies.

One thing I always encourage within police is using discretion when it comes to new players. Often when they choose the crim route, they don’t fully understand some of the powers police have and admit things they maybe shouldn’t. Resetting a new player back to zero by kicking their door down and seizing everything they have is not fun or motivating them to return. Yes, they have to learn at some point and it’s part of the natural progression but allow them that initial time to start building up their character and life first.
