Changing characters in-game

The question is simple:

Is it possible to make a in-game key to change from one character to the other, without having to close the whole game and get back into it to change character.

I've been in a couple of different servers and menus, for what I can see all systems run different so I'm not sure if its possible.

The possibility might be there, but I think the cons outweigh the pros. Making it too easy to switch characters in game will also make it easy to combat log/ metagame. I understand it’s annoying that you have to close FiveM and reopen to change characters, but I think it’s for the best. That’s my personal opinion

Takes like 2 minute to close your game and reopen, like said above I feel it would make meta gaming and combat logging even more frequent.

I disagree with this as it can increase the amount of combat logging throughout the server. But its not much of a hassle to quit and rejoin and you also have the benefit of skipping the queue as you have recently left the server.
