Change output for high level ores

The ore output for high level ores (lead in particular but also aluminium for example) has been drastically decreased. For lead you used to be able to get 10 ores if you do the skill checks properly, now it's randomized between 1 and 4 ores. This has made mining lead ore, which in no way WAS a high tier money maker, about 3-4x slower.

(I've talked to Stavik and he will await some numbers data but I thought I'd put it up in advance because this definitely needs to be changed)

The rng of mining sounds more accurate tho, with the new minigame it makes mining way to easy I could hit all the points and always get the max number if ores, having It set to rng is nicer I say, also if it's harder to get these kinda things then the people who gather them will just have to ask for more money I guess, seeing as the end product from lead is quite pricy I believe

Also I like the idea of it slowing the gun/ammo market personally

I think max output should be determined by your mining level - so for instance if lead was level 3 required to mine, you could get 1-4 pieces per swing.

As you surpass the level requirement, you could get an extra piece or two based on how many levels you are above the required level to mine the thing.

I also think raising the level cap to 10 as with other jobs would make sense, and there could be some further balancing done with this suggested xp scale.

This would be incentive for people to get their skills up even if they don't have a use for all the ores, and would reward players that have put the time into becoming "experienced" miners.

Just my 2p

I think the current changes have been way too extreme, before the changes you could get 1K ore in 15-30 minutes depending on what ore you were mining, you now take almost that same amount of time to get 250 ore.

I do like the animation and sound changes that were done, however some consistency in whether or not you get skill checks whilst mining would be a good change. Right now you can just randomly get skill checks and it completely ruins the flow of mining,

I personally preferred being able to continuously hit skill checks and keep up the flow instead of having to keep using my third eye on the wall each time I finish mining and the idea of the level limit being increased to 10 and it giving you benefits based off your level seems good, but I think the absolute minimum of ore you can get at a time should be 2 just like before as I could see someone getting only 1 ore 10 times in a row and deciding to never mine again.

Could just go back to the old days of press E then do animation get one ore and repeat

Bit of an update on this: Copper has been significantly buffed by this change, going from a 5 maximum off getting all minigames correct to a random number up to 8. Combined with the lesser time it takes to do an action now, this has made it way faster. It feels like there has been an oversight regarding this. Both iron and copper have been made much more easy to mine, lead has been significantly nerfed.

To butt in on Samuel's post; it is only lead that's been affected. Copper and iron have been buffed. Which makes me think it's not intentionally done, but the update was implemented without adequate testing it seems. For the devs, maybe time to get some more game testers on board? I have put in an application ages ago and am still open to assist in testing.

I told you to gather more data over a time period after you asked some questions.
This is so you can gather data on and in the live environment to make a proper suggestion.

As it is now, its intentional.

Lets shy away from sly digs in the future.

I did not mean this as a sly dig at all. I might be very direct in my writing but that's it, there is no ill intention. I am doing all of this to HELP, so no reason for me to do so. As we talked about I know it's intentional, I'm just using this thread to share my findings. Copper and lead are (at the moment) equal in RP. You need as much lead as you need copper to make ammo. And now there's a big disparity.
