Female hair band is more useless than helpful at the moment. Due to the hair style it gives
Detailed Suggestion:
Currently when a female uses a hair band it switches their hair to ID:2. However after some testing. This hair is only works with its intended purpose for some masks. The rest it sticks though. My suggestion is to change the hairband style to ID:42 as this hair style has 2 variants one out of mask and one in. So it fits in a lot more masks and helmets. It is also a pony tail hair so makes a lot more sense then the current buzzcut hair cut when you put a hairband on.

The Pros:
Hair feature will work as I envisioned when I first suggested hairbands. Allowing females to not be forced to a default hair when they want to wear a mask.
