Can't remove quote while on phone

While on mobile I can't remove someone's quote if I clock it to reply, or I'm missing something?

I sometimes cant remove my quotes on PC might just be me being a idiot

Tap it constantly whilst pressing the delete button and it will go eventually. Try selecting the darker grey box to get rid of it!
