Name of the person you are reporting (in-game name): Calvin Beckham and Vendetta

Time & Date this happened: 21-01-2015 inbetween 19:00 and 21:00

Which Server did this happen on: #1

Description of what happened: We robbed Calvin Beckham and Vendetta. They put their hands up straight away and we took their comms, yet they still managed to call the UNMC. I am not sure if that is allowed as it would be impossible to text anyone with your hands up and we took their comms.

What Rule Was Broken ?: I guess it'd go under bad RP as what they did is pretty much impossible IRL.

Have you tried to resolve with the player before posting?: No, I haven't because I had to go right after the incident. I am not expecting any harsh punishments either as that'd be unfair. I just want a clarification really and possibly a refund if it was indeed against the rules.

Please post video evidence/screenshots here
(This is almost a must! without this you have no solid evidence, If your report is about RDM then it must be a video leading upto the RDM and after)

I did not record my own voice and I am sorry for that. I will in the future. Anyway, I did some small edits to explain some points. Sorry for the length of the video, but this was from the moment we saw them untill we died to be sure no one comes up with the ''they cut out the part where >Insert bullshit<'' story.

id like to point out that maybe these guys didnt call us as we have a patrol stationed in sofia who check in on the black market every 15 minutes or so and maybe they caught you in the act of robbing those people

I was one of the guys on duty at this time, we were abit under-manned at the time.. So we were I believe 4-5 in the checkpoint, I decided to send one of the Pvt's out on patrol to make sure all was good and dandy.  (Normally we send out more, but due to us being so few on at the point I made the decision to only have a "spotter-patrol")

When our patrol arrived at the first point (black market), he saw what was going on and called in for back-up.

We immidiately mobilized and took care of the situation.

I  can assure you that this is completely coincidental, we had no messages of the victims (atleast as far as I am aware).

Sgt Maj. Jon

I don't think I saved shadowplay of this situation, I'm currently at work so I cannot check my files.

But since this situation occures quite regularly, I don't see the need to save any recordings of it.

As far as I can see, roleplay was initiated from all sides like it should and the situation was handled as it should.

I will go ahead and ask the members that I can remember was on-duty with me, later on when I get back.

I'm 99% sure this is just a coincidence buddy  :)

Can you prove they messaged UNMC? Last time I looked it was Innocent untill proven guilty, not the other way around. If my Sergeant Major says this is what happened, I will at least believe him. So from a UNMC point of view, we stumbled upon this situation in a patrol and dealt with it accordingly. It is not unusual for our patrols to stumble upon situations as these.

Colonel Khandamir, UNMC

I never even concidered it.

It is just that I NEVER see the UNMC patrol the black market when I am there. Kinda feels odd that it just happened as we rob someone there, which is something we actually never do. Also feels odd how there were several guys there at the time they would need to get there if they messaged.

The guys we robbed proceeded to stall us, and shortly after we robbed them, the UNMC came fully geared and with 4 guys. Maybe it was a coincidence, but it really didn't seem that way.

And that's the problem right there. We aren't able to prove that they wrote to the UNMC, because we simply have no access to know it.

That's a real game-breaker. In the real world, you would be able to see if they did that, so maybe implementing a text-animation in the future would be a good feature?

Or maybe just a text saying: " A(being a person) is texting on his cellphone" When he texts someone :p

You did drive up and down to the market, all in all you had boots on the ground long enough for UNMC to rush in. We do patrol, but people at the black market would not need to see our patrols for us to see the black market. Striders have very good thermal cameras that can spot things miles away (if view distance is put up obviously). Best thing would be for either of these two guys to step forward to say if or if they not messaged soldiers at duty. It is a possibility, I admit that. But I have been asking people who are online now and no one recieved a message and one of them was at the scene and stated that they just followed a normal patrol, checking out our key locations.

Vendetta and Calvin Beckham if you're reading this please state your side of the story so this can be dealt with.

The patrol of side, as I never wanted punishments for them anyway.

Lets say they would've texted you. If they didn't already. Would that be allowed? Like I said, their hands were up and it's hard to text with your hands up.

Just to clarify: Thats not me (Calvin "Booker" Beckham), thats another person using my rp name/same name by a coincidence)

If they texted WHILE they had their hands up, thats a 95% no no (as far as i can decide that as a player and not admin lol. 95% because its Poor roleplay, not tehcnically in the rules that you cant use phone when your hands are up but its kinda logical you can't, physically..

After you said; we took your comms, it's a 100% no no to still do that and would most likely lead to a ban.

It would be really hard to prove however.. If they saw you before they landed and they are proper scared, they might have texted UNMC that they thought they were gonna be robbed before it even happened.. In my starting days, whenever I was somewhere on my own or somewhere dangerous, i would have emergency message stating my location on Control V, ready to text the cops at first sight of danger..

Yeah, this case is odd. However, I have had cases before where it was beyond obvious.

Thanks in advance

In our position at that time, a coincidence seems highly unlikely.

But maybe you're right, if that's the case, then we were just super unlucky, lol.

As I actually don't want them punished like I stated a million times before and I got the answer to my question I am locking this complaint.

I don't think it's worth wasting any admin's time on.

/Lock

Well... Lock once I figured out how

Uh... I can't figure it out.

Just leave it for what it is
