Summary:

Allow people to call the favorite contacts, such as Police and NHS, and have anyone clocked in as that role be able to answer.

Suggestion:

Let civilians call the 'Favorites' in the contacts such as police, NHS, taxi and mechanic. Everyone clocked on as this job then gets a notification, same as the dispatches, that there is an incoming call which they can choose to accept or ignore.

For the whitelisted groups such as police, NHS and G6 there could even be a specific whitelist flag allowing you to take these calls to ensure everyone doing it is properly qualified.

You'd obviously still keep the option to just text the 'Favorites'.

The Pros:

  • Allow for proper 999 calls to NHS and Police
  • Generally feels like a more interesting RP solution than texting, eg calling a taxi or mechanic rather than message and hope one turns up

The Cons:

  • Dev time?

I have been saying to so many medics i wish we had this feature even if that ment introducing a new job for both police and NHS which would be a dispatcher or as you stated it would randomly pick a medic or police officer during the time they are clocked in either way not only would the RP be better it would give that person full knowledge that someone is attending them rather than them sitting there thinking is someone coming to help me +1 from me

I don't hunk it should randomly pick and call since this can then be used in a gunfight of just calling them to disable their weapons.

However have it so they have to be in a certain place to receive calls. Reception at hospital or dispatcher room at mrpd

Alternatively, have it be able to be toggled by the person, and/or make it not force the phone open when you are being called, have it so you must manually open the phone to answer
