Brief Summary:
Bring back Mayor to be voted for in city hall.
Detailed Suggestion:
Back in Altis server we had a mayor who could be voted for who would be someone who can represent the the Island people.
So why not bring it back to Los santos same method you sign your name up to be a candidate for lets say £50,000 running registration fee. and then people every month come to vote for their candidate they wish to be mayor of Los Santos.
So what would a mayor do?
A elected mayor would hear to the concerns of the City, it's people and a meeting is held with Government officials (not always required), police and NHS command every two weeks to discuss citizen concerns. they can also come up with roleplay scenarios such as a events and maybe some RP scenarios for example refurbishment of a building or road which closes down a freeway, road or building stopping its use making a diversion needed or another business taking the demand. (not to be used as an ingame dev request for a car or feature used to arrange like roadworks or building site to be place)
A Mayor Candidate would hold rallies to persuade the people to vote for him in the next elections. he can also throw in events and parties to increase their influence for political debates with other Mayor candidates.
Benefits of being an elected mayor could include security given by gruppe 6 with back up from police if required.
An occupation job titled as mayor with a paycheck to be decided by staff.
Mayor Elected / candidate and can have staff for campaign manager, secretary etc. (another job title give by elected mayor)
mayor would have influence on funds and permits for events that are requested by the public which can be enforced by police if no permits are valid or present. (members of the public can buy a permit for an event through an application to the Mayor)
Elected mayor can be corrupt and are susceptible for investigation by CID and Government officials with harsher punishments for those caught.
Elected and Running for mayor would be interviewed by the press for policy changes and questions for what they wish to do if elected.
With having a mayor being present in the city it brings a lot of RP opportunity's to the server for example a mayor being taken hostage would make a very large leverage for negotiations creating scenario for police to consider every best possibilities to make sure the Mayor isn't injured or killed. making the Mayor a VIP and a high value target for criminals and OCG.
Having a mayor would have a government official around the city to be spoken to and ask for events, help and development on jobs and other things.
The Pros:
More roleplay
New job
creates a Political RP that isn't present in the city.
Concerns of the city people being voiced by elected mayors
Brings democracy to the city with a voting system
The Cons:
Dev work
nothing else
