Bins.....

Personally I've come to accept bins for what they are, if bins weren't the meta then something else would be, and those people who need/want money would do that over bins, that is an unfortunate fact. But there are some great things about bins being added, rather than spending x hours alone in a taxi or on a delivery bike, people are now interacting with each other, with friends or potentially meeting new people to interact with and RP with.

I'd be curious to see how much RP bins have actually been enabled over the old jobs by giving people new contacts within the city that they might have otherwise not met. Also, at times money is sometimes needed to help facilitate RP, if it's possible for people to quickly raise funds to get right back into RP i think that's fine. You want to run a community event, host a party, buy some vehicles to set up a new business etc, if it reduces the entry point to the RP so be it.

That being said, I do believe the bonuses for doing chains of back to back bin runs should be removed or put into the standard pay at a flat rate instead. It is encouraging unhealthy habits and rewarding people for grinding without breaks.

What if there was like a time limit on how many hours you could actually work as a binman? like say 2 hours per storm and thats x amount of in game hours... IRL you cant spend 18 hours 7 days a week driving lorries or working so maybe instead of wanting it removed or the pay lowered a limit could be brought in.

Don’t really think any caps or limits is the answer people will just cap it then run down the list of the next highest paid job probably food deliveries or something of that ilk, there is plenty a jobs out there it’s not really for a lack of jobs (except on the criminal side) maybe instead of bonuses for continuous efforts doing bins you get bonuses for doing multiple different jobs something along those lines. That being said I still don’t agree with cash being so important you need it to facilitate rp far to much and 95% a jobs don’t even create any RP so almost half the time your in the server your playing a tycoon.

If everything paid out roughly the same or (in case of illegal jobs) more than bins I believe you would see a lot more variety in what people do. For example right now you don't really see anyone selling any drugs because you're better off finding someone to do bins with so as to not go to jail and make more money a lot faster.

Idk, I disagree with this one - I think bins would still be favourable due to the social aspect of it - something which every other job lacks.

At a push you could turn impounding into a 2 person job, with someone driving and the other attaching the vehicles - but that's a whole different conversation.

All jobs paying the same is just unrealistic as well - sometimes I like to just chill on food delivery on the moped, if I was a taxi driver taking someone to Paleto, getting paid the same as someone doing a .5 mile food drop off, I'd be pretty frustrated.

I get your point with bins still being favorable due to the social aspect however it doesn't change that the other jobs simply aren't caught up with the inflation that has been caused by bins.

Now that there's a quick and easy way to make 100K in less than an hour with nearly no risk attached all the other jobs appear useless. My main point is just that there's too little risk for the amount of reward binning gets you compared to illegal jobs like selling drugs, which requires buying drugs, paying tax for selling on a turf, finding locals to sell drugs to whilst hoping they pay well (which they just don't) and don't call the police and then hoping the police don't turn up and arrest you. And you do all of that hassle only for the binmen to have made 4x what you have in the same hour.

it does make sense that some jobs won't pay as well as others, but even so increasing their payouts just might make people consider chilling on for example; food delivery more often instead of getting a friend to quickly hop in a ratloader with them for 20 mins to make 50K.

As a relatively new player on this server, I have to say that the current situation with bins makes it really boring very fast. You kind of come in not knowing anyone at the start anyway so you hear about all the different things you can do - but you'll always wanna do bins because it's legal and pays better than anything else. And you just do bins to afford to buy stuff faster so you can have some sort of progression, but you always fall back to bins. I enjoy selling drugs and driving a cab, but knowing that bins pays better always just reverts me and my friends (who are also new) to just do bins.

But like I said, it becomes boring pretty quickly and you just end up wanting to try another server with more variety/balance to the economy.

Maybe you and your friends should do what you get the most fun out and you won't be as bored.

Well... It's fun to do other stuff than bins, but if your goal is to make money to buy whatever, let's say guns, so you can try to do other fun stuff, then it's just more worth to do bins. Kinda what I mean

Well I mean a freddo used to cost 15p. I imagine if an easily attainable job impacts the economy so much the prices of things will follow too? Remember the pound shop?

😭

No matter what will be suggested here, the damage has already been done. Having people be multimillionaires was rare, now it's normal. Look at the availability of cars, weapons, businesses or anything else prestigious that has end-game value. The payouts should have gotten fixed quickly to be able to downplay the massive inflation that happened because of this new job.

Having a co-op job is good. Making it pay 3x the amount (at least) of other jobs is not. But I think we can only learn from this. Hopefully people see that you grind enough money until you have too much and then the game isn't fun anymore.
