So I had to uninstall[ my free Anti Virus due to it making my music bot not work. What is the best Anti Virus to get , and where is the best place to get it from? The cheaper the better as i don't want to be spending a lot of money.

I've got Norton. It does the job fine but it's pretty overprotected. Maybe get McAfee or something like that.

I think 360 Total Security is pretty good

Thats what i used and no problem so far

For a paid version, I heard Norton is pretty good

Get Kaspersky Total Security, best one I have ever had and it's so easy to use

I use MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, does the job perfectly. Best antimalware I've ever had and has never caused any problems.

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware is amazing. I got a lifetime key before it went to a yearly subscription (£20 pear year, still a good deal), but the free version is still just as useful. But in the end, common sense is your best defense.

Best one is completly free and its called common sence never faild on me lol

but on the serius not a bitt off coution and common sence gets you far. For a anti virus programs bit defender and malware bytes are good once. Norton and McAfee is good olso but they are not something you want for a gaming rig as they are a bit overprotective and are more a home/buissnes type of antivirus.  But when we are talking about "best" it really is no program that is "best" they are all god at one or another.

Security Essentials tbh, it is one of the quietest ones I know of that does antivirus scanning and that's it.

The rest of them have all turned into bloatware or don't work (Norton) i used to recommend bit defender as well all the time, but that has gotten top heavy as well now.

@Baggy Please don't recommend Norton Ever again, that tech "advice" was painful to read for everybody involved.

If your on Win10 your probably already protected.

If you read my post you'll see I didn't 'recommend' it. I just claimed that I had it.

Windows 10 comes with Windows defender as standard.

Not sure why you would admit to it either tbh :/

does it matter?
If your running Norton and giving tech advice ... Kinda yeah. It's a bit like a heavily obese doctor giving healthy eating advice ...

every time I see or hear Norton

Yep, I only run windows (10) defender. I fresh install every 6 months or if I've noticed virus/malware.

...and use my Mac for porn ?

Bit defender or avast will do the job just fine.

best solution is this:

Common Sense: dont download what you don't know.

If you cant tell its intent, then its not worth the risk...

Small enough file and want to take the risk?

Upload it to https://www.virustotal.com/

chances are someone already has, but it compares that file against a LOT of antiviruses... be warned, some give false positives so you can always post a result on the forums if you need advice!

Still not sure? I still recommend BitDefender... its just slimline, easy, runs itself and no impact on gaming.
