Bad FPS, can anyone help ?

I'm getting an FPS of about 20, but I have a quite good PC with a 770 GTX Nvidia. My computer is running every other big game at ultra with no lag, but it can't take arma 2 or 3 without lag?

Can anyone tell me what to do ? xD

Lower your settings.

EDIT: or lower your resolution

1. The FPS doesn't change at all, if I change settings ( Weird Enough )

2. :(

3. Cthulhu isn't hungry :3

Going to look at that guide though, but i'm annoyed that a 2000 euro machine can't run Arma 3 over 20 fps

If it's a laptop check and see if it's in power saving mode, and if it's a desktop look at the cpu- usage in the task manager when running and tell me

If that's any help
CPU usage when I play

Decrease draw and object distance to 1000m.

Disabled Pip.

Disable post processing.

Disable or reduce AA to 0 or 2x. Mess about with TXAA of SMAA as MSAA hurts fps a lot.

Overclock your Cpu, that will help a lot. You dont have a K rated Cpu so youll have to spend more time overclocking the old fasioned way ;)

You posted idle Cpu usage not the useage when playing Arma. Even my 5930K uses more than 11% playing Arma lol ;)

Alright so,

The object distance and draw distance was already 1000.

I have no idea what Pip is.

So.. Yea.. Post processing, how do you do that

Is this ingame or what?

I have no idea how to overclock it unfortunately, any help on that ? :3

Not the best computer guy around :p

PIP = picture in picture. Disable it from graphics options menu in game.

Have you been into the graphics settings in game??? This is where you find the settings.

As for overclocking your cpu... you cpus multiplier is locked. So you have to overclock by increasing the bclk. (Cpu speed = multiplier x bclk). Then youll have to reduce the memory speed so it doesnt go above the recommended speed, its linked with the bclk. Theres also other tjings you have to change. Its not hard. Goto youtube and educate yourself on how to overclock, its good stuff to learn :)

You coukd also overclock your GPU. Most likely by 10%, again theres tutorials on YouTube. You can use MSI afterburner to overclock the gpu. Simple, just move the gpu clock speed slider and increase power limit. Watch tutorials and you'll see how simple it is :)

Alright so,

Thanks very much for that video Dekkers, helped my FPS quite a bit.

Now for overclocking CPU, I will definitely look into that, and I just downloaded MSI afterburner, for my GPU.

Thanks for the advice guys, I really appreciate that :)

I think Arma relies a lot on Cpu. I could be wrong tho.

So. I don't have a K cpu, therefore I can only overclock it to a certain degree, by restarting my computer and going manual overlock? Is this the case?

you can change your view distance by pressing 3-6 not sure witch one it is, but that should help fps alot.
