How about all those who don't want their money or their licenses simply opt in for a wipe, and those who do not want to participate simply do not.

 
The only reason for me and a lot of people to not move to Tanoa yet is the hard work and grinding put in Altis. If all the progress was wiped out, the majority of people would start over in Tanoa instead and only a few people would still play on Altis. That's what i would do. No way I was going to lose everything and start over on the same map because... "reasons".
Altis would die in a matter of weeks.

Yes, I do like my money... But again, that's just part of the game...

I may be sending mixed messages here, but at the end of the day, I like money. 

(I'm open to a wipe, however other people with large amounts of money may not be seeing as they've put in the hundreds or thousands of hours into it).

Hell no, id hate there to be a whipe been here for a while.... dont want to lose all my monies froom my grind of robbing

 
I would really like a wipe because people who are minted will have to work for the stuff now just a little more rather than being able to have enough money therefore you can buy anything you want, other than the people with less money having to be careful and them being a bigger target to criminals than the rich ones. +1

But these people have already done their share of hard graft and esrnt the right to be able to not have to work for anymore.. Just as much as the new people will have the ability to do that when they've put as much effort in.

In life there's poorer people, poor, middle, rich and super rich. Just as there is in the game.

 
I myself always found it difficult to get money due to being robbed, its always been the same. Its not like the rich started playing before people got robbed, All this is going to do it reset everyone, and we will see rich people return and it be exactly the same after 3 days, I vote no

You say that, but it's just not true. Some will, sure: the ones that aren't in it for the RP, and only find fun in gunplay. Everyone else will work hard to get back up to where they were before.

As someone with several helicopters, including a Huron, as well as some vehicles you just can't buy any more, my instinct is to say: please don't take my shiny flying metal birds away. Then I look at the stats page, and see people with hundreds of millions to their name, and I think: maybe a wipe wouldn't be such a bad thing.

I would only want to see a wipe, however, if the Tanoa economy came with the Apex stuff. A new economy is a far better reason for having a wipe than "because I don't want to let my vehicles go", even though I am rather fond of my brand new mohawk...

What?

I'm someone who doesn't want a wipe and I play this game for nothing other than the roleplay. That being said, I have worked my arse off over the past few months to get my balance up onto the leader boards and I plan to keep going as high as I can get. Why should I have to do that all again? 

I don't know if I would stop playing, it's hard to say, but it would destroy all my effort and the effort of others. My "shiny vehicles" are vehicles that I have spent ages saving up for and I don't see why that should be taken from me. The people with hundreds of millions are people who have worked bloody hard getting that money, that's why they have it. Everyone has the same chance they do.

Let me put it this way, with my huron I can make 1.2-2 million every 2 hours by doing salt / iron. Before I was in the police I specialized by doing meth runs. 700k a run and they were very short (20-30 mins).

 
I think a lot of people have forgotten we've actually worked for our money, we haven't just stood around. It is in no way "unfair" that those who have worked for their money keep their money.

Only new economy should equal a wipe. It just makes sense, as otherwise you have people with millions in an economy where it is difficult to earn thousands (slight exaggeration, but you get the point).

I was part of another community during a server wipe, and they did it for the same reasons. It worked really well.

TL;DR
Wipe because of new vehicles and weapons? No
Wipe because of new economy? Yes
