any way to delete characters?

i have two characters and both are completely messed up. (super poor, no vehicles, literally nothing.) as i was messing around and i want to free up the two spaces they take up. any way to remove characters?

I could've sworn you'd click the character name and there would be a delete button, you tried that? (On the character selection screen)
