ok sincce playing altis life on this server ( a friend told me about you guys) i seem to hav an issue where while playing Altis life crashing my windows explorer and the only way to gain full control over my PC is to Ctrl Alt Delete - Log Out then re-initialise everything. sometime it happens after a couple of minutes sometimes it last an hour. this is the only game / mod that does it. i can play arma 3 sim battles for hours with no issues. just wondering if anyone has had this issue or knows a way of fixing it?

as you can see below my PC's specs are not the issue

Pretty much the same spec here but never had any issues with the game have you tried reinstalling it?

not tried reinstalling arma 3 no as every other game mode / mod i run doesnt crash but i suppose its worth a try. if Altislife released the mod as a file that would be easier lol

You can get it as a file, it wouldn't help in the slightest though as every server has different configurations of it. It's only useful really for poking around in or starting your own server.

First, it's not a mod. It's a mission script. It resides in your ARMA3 mission-cache once it's been downloaded, and it stays there - in the same form - until it changes on the server, and then it's downloaded again.

Second, many other Altis Life servers exist, but most are different from each other. The original basic, vanilla Altis Life mission script was created and released by Bryan Boardwine - Tonic, as he is known. Most AL servers have modified that script in some way or another, to add local features and content. Ours, for example, attempts to make it more 'British' (within the limits imposed by the original left-hand-drive map).

Your problem is very likely unrelated directly to the mission-script itself, but may be related to any one of a million things to do with your operating system, how much memory has been set aside as the system's 'swapfile', what (if any) other applications you have running at the time, how many background services you're running alongside, what your desktop resolution and colour settings are, whether your video card is in tip-top condition as regards cooling, and whether your video-card drivers are up-to-date or installed properly, whether you have installed the ARMA3 executable in an area of your hard-drive protected by the Windows User Access Control, and so on, and so on.

Sadly, I'm unable to help you pin this down due to workload issues myself - but I hope you manage to get it fixed. As Berzerker said, sometimes a reinstall - or at the very least, a Steam Verify Game Files Cache - can sometimes cure this kind of spurious crash. It's also worth getting your head around the Windows Event Viewer (in the Adminstrative Tools area of the Control Panel) - that can sometimes give you much more detailed explanations of what actually crashed, along with debug or exception-error messages that can sometimes help pinpoint the true source of the error. Good luck!
