Allow LSPS to Search Stored Vehicles - LSPS ONLY

I know this suggestion will be downvoted due to being posted in the General GTARP Suggestion section, however this ONLY applies to LSPS.

Brief Summary: In brief, the LSPS are tired of Gangs storing weapons in their vehicles and then storing said vehicle in a random car park, it's not only un-realistic (Who leaves 10 AK-47's in a car in a random car park?) But also IMPOSSIBLE for LSPS to pull those cars out and Search them for weapons when doing warrants.

Detailed Suggestion: I believe we should be able to include vehicle searches and be able to locate vehicles used in the following; Gun Crime, Kidnapping Crime, other serious criminal acts, it would benefit the Police Service greatly to ACTUALLY bring justice to the streets of LS, especially given recent events regarding the on-going gang war, the system in detail would be similar to the current warrants that we submit except we'd be able to include vehicles OWNED by the person involved in the crime and be able to locate their vehicles pull them out via the warrant and as such search said vehicle, in addition to this i'd like for LSPS to actually be able to pull ALL gang vehicles if needed to search them under S47 of the Firearms Act in order to locate guns and weaponry used in wars of other crimes.

The Pros: Enhanced RP, Better prosecution, allow LSPS to actually do their jobs.

The Cons: RIP Criminals who are caught on BWV committing crime

Does this suggestion change balance on the server ? Yes, in a good and fair way.

The issue with them storing them in cars, is that they won't use their gun car for any crime and it'll sit idle at a random car park, turf car park, house car park accumulating firearms with no real option for police to ever find it nor take these weapons away.

Have edited and adjusted the suggestion to say this as well, basically allowing us to pull ALL vehicles owned by them/in gang storage.

Exactly that, it would be issued in the same way as warrants for houses/gang properties

From what I know, if the car is stored in the house and theres a search warrant in the house, the guy whos being searched MUST pull the vehicles out to be searched

Pretty sure we raided a Triads house but we were unable to raid his gun car that was parked at this house.

So you not only want to raid safehouses and homes for weapons but now be able to pull weapons out of peoples cars? I know it must be annoying when you cant get a firearm off someone because they hide it somewhere but with guns being illegal we do need a place to hide our weapons we cant have nowhere to hide them.

You can store them in cars, safe houses through gang turfs, house. Imo storing your shit in a car where police can't get to them feels like powergaming to me ngl.

In regards to LSPS even searching the places I listed above, we need a lot of evidence and locations of your houses. So allowing criminals to keep their impenetrable safe is not only unbalanced, powergamey but doesn't make sense in RP why you'd chose to place millions of pounds worth of guns in a car in some random car park.

Imo, if you don't want the police to target you or your assets. Stop being so reckless with them - Steal someone's car and use that, don't wear your usual outfit, speak with a different accent.

It's not hard to make the police have no suspicion nor gather any evidence against you.

We're merely asking for this due to the amount of shit people stash in these cars that we don't have access too. It's incredibly too unbalanced and doesn't make sense from an RP standpoint.

I can tell already that this will be heavily downvoted due to criminals not wanting us to take away their impenetrable safes but this was only made here for the public as the poster doesn't have any access to the LSPS forums.

Sorry but I have to disagree. If anything hiding guns in your car and storing it is more power gaming than anything, it’s done because you know the police can’t get them there - therefore making it so only you can win in that situation. 
 

If people don’t want to lose their stuff then there’s plenty of things you can do to avoid it, change your clothes, make yourself less identifiable, plan your escape better when committing crimes etc… 

Also, remember for police to search your cars they will need evidence against you for the crimes you’ve committed, approved warrants, they will need to know the location of car and need some kind of proof to what’s in the car. They won’t just get a warrant to search all your cars in the chance there’s something there. If you are smarter and hide your guns in other places then better chance you have of getting away with it. 
 

At the end of the day this is RP based loosely on real life, and if you have a car suspected to be full of guns then you best believe it’s getting searched with a warrant.

I agree, being able to pull cars out of storage should be allowed.

HOWEVER

That doesn’t give the police the right to go and search every car park for vehicles owned, do some work to discover the location.

for example I was up in NPAS and discovered a gun car being loaded at a parking area before being stored again, we got the make/model, registration and colour and handed it onto CID, if we just allowed cops to go randomly searching without warrants or trying to locate vehicles then that in itself would be powergaming from our point of view.

I agree with the suggestion but it needs balance and the cops to play fair too

@Liam I get where you are coming from but I've done these things before and I'm not reckless with my weapons the only time I ever wear my colours to kill someone is in a war. On the odd occasion I do go out and rob people at gun point and have gotten caught I use a different accent, different clothes or use a voice changer to alter my voice slightly with the right type of mask so that its believable but police go off of voice too much, I have mates who have been on different characters doing different accents and because a cop knows their other character that's who they identify them as which is shit its a blatant lack of regard for the possibility of people using other characters and is almost crossing over the border of power gaming and lack of character separation. In short I think for this to be an actual viable thing to be put into the server police need to stop going off of voices and if someone is using an accent actually acknowledge that accent rather than "oh yeah this is such and such". I've had the odd few officers attempt to call me to confirm my identity because they dont acknowledge the accent.

You can make this a separate suggestion, if you wish but in regards to this suggestion can we stick on topic so that it doesn't get brushed away.

Police do RP, we don't wish to have the situation done with as quickly as possible. I feel like you're getting at something completely different here, if you feel like an officer has poor RP and or rushing through RP, you can speak to them in TS, Report them whether that be in-game or on the forums but this is a suggestion for something else entirely.

Having a warrant from a judge to either;

1) Search a property (as it is now) AND access to any vehicles within it

or 

2) Search of a specific vehicle but the police must know where it's parked and the registration. Judge would require strong intel.  Seeing as you can't actually see any physical evidence of swapping items between persons and cars this task is already going to be a challenge and I think police will struggle to get evidence often; it can't therefore be easy for police to start pulling cars out left right and center and search them; it needs a lot of work before hand.
