Add UFC/Boxing Events

This is a brilliant idea to bring into the city in my opinion as it adds extra flavour into the server, people want to watch entertainment and what better entertainment than UFC/Boxing events, this could take place say Every Saturday and similar to how UFC works the Card will start at a certain time on the night, Entry fee could be around 10000-30000 a ticket as then the money generated could go to the fighters that fought that night, this brings excitement and more  quality roleplay as the city will come together at once to watch the Events that take place. Open up the big stadium near Los Santos Airport and let the fans sit in the crowd as the fighters do what they are paid to do, Include a DJ Booth so the fighters can walk out to whatever song they like, and have someone in charge at Presenting and promoting the way Dana White does for the UFC, get a ring announcer to introduce the fighters and trained referees to ref the fight, would be an awesome way to boost Interactions with other people so host such a big event on Say every Saturday at say 8:30PM 

Pros :

A different way of spending your time on the server by training for the next fight you have.

Potential money sink in terms of tickets.

More roleplay opportunities as everyone is together.

Cons: 

I cant really think of any.

I think adding new features like this plus more would be a great addition to the city. I cant be the only one to feel that the city is getting a little stale recently. Nothing against the devs and what they do but in terms of what there is to do there just isnt much. Having something like this that could easily be placed in the Maze Arena along side other in city features like paintball, lasertag, arcade, go karts, etc the list goes on. Adding these small activities i feel could reduce the amount of mass killings that have been going on recently. Having a professional UFC/Boxing event could be a great competitive way for rival gangs and even civs to have some fun as well as other fun activities. At the moment the city is work or crime theres not much in the middle. Adding small features for something fun to do could not only br fun for everyone but stop the amount of mass killings that have been happening. Plus lets look at The Lost's recent fight night every gang took part in a royal rumble and it was a laugh for everyone it was a competitve way for gangs (and civs) to show whos on top. +1 from me

I agree i haven't been playing as much as I normally have been as I'm finding that there's nothing really much to do atm, adding things like UFC events and Paintball, laser tag etc will drive the level of Roleplay upwards imo and could have an entry fee for these activities to help burn some money in such an inflated economy.

+1, I recently made a post with a list of suggestions along these lines. Adding combat sports In any aspect will Increase the general morale of the population due to being able to potentially settle your beef In the ring or just bet on the fights. Not to mention any other hobbies/jobs you could get up to.

I'd love to see this! I was recently thinking about how I could roleplay a sports athlete or something similar.

To add to your idea:

Being able to become a full-time fighter, fight every Saturday night, place bets on other fighters etc could be great. It would be good to get everybody involved!
Perhaps for fighters there could even be a job/skill:

• Fighting NPCs for little money in an underground fight arena
  
• Fighting other people in an underground, illegal fighting arena for small money, with people able to place bets on.
  
• Fighting other people professionally with reliable income.
  
• Fighting other people professionally every Saturday night at a server-wide event where bets are placed, money to the fighters and they become 'famous' around the city.
  

This could introduce 'celebrities' in the fighting world, making use of sporting arenas, server-wide events, bars and clubs being packed out afterwards with the winners, stewards and security roles, and even a city boxing gym with trainers. These organised weekly events where everybody can be involved would be fantastic.

This would also require a development to the treadmill/weights feature at the moment, by having to complete activities such as running around the city for your stamina, which degrades if you do not continue running. Stamina which affects fighting and strength affecting how much damage is done when fighting. If this is changed for everybody, it would mean only those that train, are elite athletes etc can actually fight and not just anybody turn up. With more strength/stamina gained throughout the 'fighting' skill tree when fighting NPCs/in the underground illegal fighting rings as mentioned.

The RP potential around this is fantastic, and mechanical changes to the server could change a lot around physical fighting, requiring bouncers that are trained, and use of physical weapons rather than guns all of the time.

There is an underground fight club that if someone wanted to start a boxing league or whatever then the RP opportunity is already there.
