Add parachutes for RP purposes

Brief Summary:

I would like to start a base jumping company that sells base jumping as a recreational activity, we will train our customers up, supply the parachute and be a professional outlet. It would be a fun thing to RP out and another fun non-illegal thing people can do to.

Detailed Suggestion:

Allow us to buy parachutes, maybe even implement some sort of base jumping instructor license. I would like to purchase some parachutes and sell base jumping as a fun activity for the people to enjoy. Maybe you could make it so that only base-jumping instructors can purchase these parachutes. Of course, after the activity the parachute would have to be returned to the instructor. 

The Pros:

It would be a fun thing to RP out and another fun non-illegal thing people can do to.

Another legal way to make money.

Could do jumps for charities, take donations, and give the proceeds to good causes such as the NHS etc.

The Cons:

The parachutes could be stolen and abused.

People could use them as a way to evade the Police, by scaling a building and jumping off into the night.

 actually really like this idea, however i think its better that people can receive them once they got a license, if they have it then they can buy it. But in order to get it, it has to be done through you. If you feel like they just wanna get it to evade police then screw them over

I do like the idea, as it would make for some good recreational activity. I have no doubt it could be used to evade cops from high places and wouldn't want to see them 'overused' - ya'know - how many criminals have parachutes and the knowledge and experience use them to escape from petty crime. But no harm in having a trial of them?

Quite a decent idea, and to add to this, how would the parachutes "appear"? Do they get imported from a warehouse or would there be some crafting that had to be done for them? 

Maybe have some sort of requirement for it, only those with 50 stamina for example will be able to use the 'chutes maybe?

I reckon a good idea could be that those managing the base jumping company have the ability to craft the parachutes.

Maybe the parachutes could also have a certain amount of durability? For example: they rip after 10 jumps.

Maybe add on the fact that once used you would have to go back to the base jumping company's HQ to have the chute repacked?

Having it as a licensed system similar to other things would be a start, and not everyone owns an aircraft, so definitely a business opportunity. There could be a delay on landing and a forced animation due to time taken to pick up your chute, or it could be cut and you lose the parachute. Just some ideas for roleplay...

Either way I'm all for it. I already spend most of my time in the air using my ultralight.

There's a risk of people misusing them, but I'd say it's no different to most things. People should have to integrate it into quality roleplay in some way, and the server can have rules added if certain scenarios are to be blocked off completely.

We could do jumps off of the crane at the construction site aswell, it's pretty high I'm sure.

Had a parachute for this purpose after the Rpuk event, that and it was used as safety when helicopters would get deleted doing drug runs. Was a great accessory to have until admins asked me to hand it over. Sad face.

100% agreed with you here. There's a lot of possibility (whether that be business or leisure) that could come with this.
