A Change In The Right Direction!

To all members of The Forgotten Exiles and the people of Altis.

This is a post and some information regarding our new policies agreed today. We are making some changes for the good of our gang members and for the civilians of the island. Recently the roleplay quality has dropped and this is unacceptable. We DO NOT tolerarte or encourage poor roleplay, "borderline RDM" or anything of this kind. The Generals have come up with a new agreement to make sure this never happens.

Here are the new policies and agreement between all members of the gang;

• All members must only use pistols for SELF DEFENCE. No rifles/ smg /machine guns are allowed unless authorised.

• We will not rob people for all of their money/merchendise and have agreed to only take 20-30% which will be tax.

• Any member of TFE seen with an unauthorised weapon should be reported to to either a General or Colonel with their names given.

• We will help all civillians with illegal/legal trade (tax will be taken off at the end of the trade).

• All members should be roleplaying to their full potential. Lack of RP will result in warning points/ removal from the gang.

These policies will be on a trial period of 3 days. If sucessfull, we will look into making it a permanent feature in the gang. If you have any information or questions, please don't hesitate to message one of the Generals or Colonels on either Teamspeak or on the Forums. Please keep the replies friendly as I don't want to cause an argument/flaming on this post, or people telling us that these rules will be broken sooner or later because I can assure you they won't

Makes them weaker in combat but in rep much better than most gangs

Maybe, but what is more important, Your money/life or the reputation of the gang? Because you never know if the people you try to tax don't have rifles. You go in there with pistols and suddenly there's 2 or 3 people standing there with rifles pointing at your face. I don't think that's a great idea.

Rifles are very seldomly defensive, I have personally never had the time to get a rifle out of my bag, put all the attachments on it and load it before a robber knocked me out or told me to put my hands up, rifles are only profitable in aggressive situations such as robbing or road stops. I've been on as a "rebel" for a long time and I can count the times i've used a rifle in self defence on one hand. Usually you use them to flash around and scare others or die before they even get taken out. The only time you'll ever be able to have a rifle in your hands is if you're looking for trouble, or being followed.

I disagree, at processing or mining places i keep my rifle out, not to rob people but to be prepared for anyone trying to rob me. But i don't know, we'll just have to see how it goes. Maybe it just goes insanely well which would be awesome for you guys

Seeing a rifle only escalates, doing patrols with Merchant Union we've encountered multiple situations in which people have driven off, hid themselves, or started to shoot at us as soon as they see us stepping out of our offroad with rifles out. Most rebels out there can also testify to that when cops point rifles or just hold them in their hands, therefore weapons should always be on the back or hidden away, to ease tension.

Having no assault rifles simply means you can't go head first into every situation you see. It's nothing bad, i've been going around without assault rifles for weeks maybe months. It makes roleplay easier since people are less scared or less hostile. And every now and then you get robbed, or people try. Depends on the situation if you try to fight or just let them have it. And having a well known name, be it your own or your gangs name, is a good weapon to use as well. Lots of people backed off and didnt go through with it just by telling them how bad of an idea it would be to do it ;-)

Thumbs up to TFE for this decision, I dont think you will regret it!

I don't agree marmite miners never really have big guns we usually just carry pistols and we get on just fine. The server is not here so u can be the strongest gang. The server is here  as ROLE PLAYING server.

and great reaction to low RP Bering reported guys very impressed. Personally I have never had a problem with TFE always been nice to me. But hope u catch who ever it is 

and remember u can RP ur way out of anything and not just RP cops, me and and RPed our way out of being top at salt trader buy having a throwing contest with smoke grenades

Yes! it was brought to our attention last night that the role play of TFE was decreasing, no that to us is unacceptable, I and the other leading members had a very long discussion on how best to deal with this effectively and with good, lasting results. We're hoping this will help us highlight the bad eggs of our group and get us to a state whereby we have excellent role players, and a smaller number of them, so it's a better experience for all.

At TFE we value any well written criticism, and things we can improve on for ourselves are taken very seriously, we hope this will help improve everyone time in this community and make sure TFE are a proud Roleplay oriented gang, rather than a combat based one, which there are way to many of nowadays.

Most of our gang members will be marked with our gang logo very soon in game, so don't be afraid to come up to us and have a chat, and if anyone notices anything unsatisfactory, be sure to report it to a General or Colonel and we'll get to the bottom of this.
