It notifies workers or the most senior person of that building that someone is waiting - perhaps initially prompting a voice conversation, similar to a ‘Ring doorbell’ or 2-way CCTV. So the visitor knows that someone will be with them shortly, rather than hoping someone will turn up at some point.
The Pros:
Giving the ability to whoever is around or near the building to know there is someone wanting to report a crime/ask a worker a question.
it also lets the visitor know that his presence is known, and he will be dealt with shortly.
The Cons:
kids on the server might abuse this feature and play knock and run games - which means that the ability to view that someone is still in the reception is key.
Does this suggestion change balance on the server ?
