I have the same problem! runs fine 90% of the time and then on the occasion just crashes down to 8fps. Doesn't matter what setting I change or how many time I restart. Usually have to wait a day and then it goes back to 40-50fps. Very weird 

I like the idea of the red zone as you can run around killing mercilessly. However, I don't like the idea of people camping the rebel outposts and simply shooting people before they have a chance to buy their grear!. A good way to counter this would be to make the rebel outposts green zones...
