Why do you think you were banned: At the time, i had logged in to reach out to a in real life friend. Found him and ended up in a RP scenario which ended up with the police killing me.
I had a wrench as a weapon and they shot me. I didn't agree.

In all honesty, i then proceeded to misbehave, probably used profanity words and purposely went against whatever they said.
Went out of character completely aswell and had said at the time, the warning prior to the ban, didn't matter to me.

Which it now obviously does, but i guess being aware is mandatory to prevent it.
Why should we unban you: Obviously it has been a few years, that does not take away for what happened then and there is no excuse for the behaviour.
I believe i am for sure, capable of participating in quality RP as i have done in the past. It has been a few years since i have been on FiveM and i'd like to believe, since 2018 as the ban date to now, 7 years probably also helped me be more mature.

I firmly believe i can add to the roleplay experience as an individual player, i'm sure at the time of the ban i had been also, prior to the incident.
I believe the difference maker is that i am confident i won't misbehave as before, i'm here for a more relaxed environment compared to what used to be a more involved and competitive and sometimes hostile approach.

If the above statement does not convince the appeal, i'm still thankful for the review.

Correction; the ban date is 2022;

Might be less drastic, but still i'm firm that the time spent away from this game is sufficient to say i'm approaching it different.
I'm going about for a few hours of fun instead of hardcore into the community.

It has been some time since your ban, and you were absent for about a year since your last connection. You then managed to get yourselves permanently banned within 30 minutes of coming back to the server.

How can we ensure this won't happen again if you disagree with a RP situation? You say you are going to take a more relaxed approach of RP this time, but RP is dynamic and you can easily be dragged into a situation you didn't intend to pursue.

to be fair and honest, there is no way for me to physically prove to you it won’t happen again.

I agree with the dynamics and i think the only thing i can truly do, is approach it with a different attitude.

I’m confident enough to say for myself, that im positive it won’t happen again. I’m pretty sure i haven’t had any other situation than this one, i consider it a hiccup, a big one that is, but not something that is recurring or something that often happens.

This is not something i have to actively stop myself from doing. I’m also confident enough, to say this is the only time such argument will have weight and value. If something identical happens again, i’m accepting the responsibility of it and recognize a following ban appeal will not be accepted for a identical situation.

This is not to downplay the assurance it will not happen again. I’m willing to wager that if i close the door completely on myself in case this happens again, it will not matter because i will not do it again. If i do, i’ll make amends with it and i won’t appeal.

In short i can only sell words to follow up and prove it after i regain access. I’m really confident that without the attitude i had back then, i can add to the value of RP scenario’s. Especially being much less involved on a personal level. And play it with imagination in mind, not to win like before or be right, but with fun for all parties.

Sounds very cliche, but i swear by it.

Hi again! Thanks for the detailed reply. @joshua3313

You have been around for a while, and on Altis Life I believe. So you should be familiar with the combatlogging rule, and staying in character. I am glad it is something you won't have to "stop" your selves from doing shall you get into a similar situation in the future.

What have you been up to over the past (close to) 3 years since your ban? Have you continued roleplaying, or taken a break?

Yeah i started on ARMA with a friend of mine who dragged us in. After that we found FiveM and spent over 2K hours on a dutch server of about 90-100 players at its peak. In between and especially after the server closed, is when i played on here for a little while.

These past 3 years, i quit playing. Have not played in a long while. I saw my friend playing on this server and it got me thinking, might be fun to RP every now and then.

I work all week, i’m just looking for a break.
