Why do you think you were banned: For logging out/closing the game while being drowned in the city.
Why should we unban you: I hope your all good, im writing to apologise for my actions in the past and ask if I can please have another chance on the server, I got banned for combat logging and looking back i realise how bad it is for the whole server, I didnt think about how much it ruins the roleplay and how its totally against the point of being on a serious roleplay server

Alot has changed since I was banned, I’ve grown up a lot, I have a kid now and its really made me realise how I approach gaming and what I want out of it. Im not looking for fast paced casual gaming anymore, I want to be part of a community that takes roleplay seriously and respects the rules. I now know combat logging is more than just breaking a rule its ruining the whole experience for everyone else and I really regret it.

Im really sorry to the community and the staff for my actions, I totally understand why I was banned and I know I messed up, but I just wanna show you I’ve learned from my mistakes. Im not here to cause issues I just wanna join a chilled server with good roleplay and have fun without ruining it for anyone else

If I get a chance to come back, I promise I’ll respect the rules and try to make a positive impact on the server, I’ve thought a lot about it and I feel like I’m in a better place now to enjoy the game properly. Im not looking to mess about or exploit things anymore, I just want to roleplay seriously and enjoy it with others who want the same

Combat logging just ruins citys for a few reasons. First it messes with the whole vibe of the game. RP meant to feel real, but when someone logs off to avoid dying or getting caught it completely breaks that immersion. It also takes away consequences part of the fun of RP is dealing with whatever happens but combat logging lets you dodge things like getting arrested or killed. which is just unfair to everyone else. it makes the game less fun for others because it turns into just avoiding losing.

If you allow me to join the city again i hope to begin my journey from the start doing basic jobs to earn a respectable name for myself in the city and hopefully one day get the chance to join the local PD and make the streets a safer place!

How do you think combat logging ruins the roleplay of those around you?

How do you intend on making this positive impact? What are your plans should you return?
 
Combat logging really messes with the roleplay experience for everyone involved. When someone logs off during a fight or a risky situation just to avoid losing or getting caught, it completely kills the whole vibe. big part of roleplay is that your actions have consequences but when someone combat logs those consequences just disappear. It makes the whole situation feel pointles and it’s hard to stay invested in the story when you can’t count on things to play out. It can also give the impression that this isnt a serious RP server and others may think its an acceptable thing to do.

If I return i plan to be someone who helps make the story better and keeps things fun for everyone. I want to focus on my character’s actions mattering and building good connections with others. I’ll make sure to stay in character and never do things like combat logging.

If I'm allowed to return my plan is to keep things simple at first. I want to take some time to rediscover the city since it's been a while. I'll focus on learning the character circles and finding myself a job. My first three goals are pretty clear: 1) make some friends, 2) get a car, and 3) find a place to live. Once I hit those milestones, I’m hoping I’ll be in a good spot to apply for the local pd and start giving back to the city in a meaningful way

After being involved in cities with weak moderation and not much focus on proper RP, I’m now sticking to a city that takes RP seriously. I’ve got mates I played with during COVID who are back, and I’m looking to help make the story better by going from a law-abiding citizen to hopefully joining the police. I’m also keen to get involved, interact with the community, and help out with or take part in any community events if there are resources for that.

It does play a big part in why i'm appealing yes, before logging out we serious RP'd as a group and had a fantastic time (no rules broken) I then came back a period of time later and tried playing with 1 friend who was new to RP and it wasn't the same, that same day was banned for Combat logging, I understood it was against the rules and thats all I can say on the matter.

I understand if the moderation team don't want to give me a second chance but ive been straight with my intentions and its down to you, If you don't then that's not a problem ill accept theres not going back.

I can't fully remember the lead up... I do believe it was a 10 second chat then theses people unknown to me put a gun up to us or shot us and then we got drowned. This was a long time ago now so can't fully remember I just know regardless of how bad the RP was prior the ban was correct as combat logging did happen.

At this time I don't feel like you are appealing for the right reasons, based on this I am not ready to unban you as of yet. This does not mean that it won't ever happen, it just won't happen yet.

I would advise to take some time, actually think why you want to return and what rp you can bring to the server. I won't put a cool down on this appeal so take some time and appeal when you think the time is right.
