Ok so normally I make this post as I edit the rules to show the before and after but I messed it up tonight so the rules below are the ones which have been changed:
(2.4) Using any exploits such as looting dead bodies, duplication of items or money, abusing the Bounty hunter system to exploit money from the wanted system, using the ‘Flip Vehicle’ feature outside of its intended purpose, transferring / processing items through walls and windows, and locking doors that have been broken into before 10 minutes have passed, IE those that have been bolt-cut. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal. If you discover an exploit that nobody else knows about, please reveal it to a staff member privately in order to ensure that it does not be abused in the future.
3.1 - You must remain in character at all times, unless a uniformed Admin authorises you to speak out of character. Roleplay everything.
3.2.1 - Out of Character (OOC) interactions must be made over side chat.
3.2.2 - Quick messages to another player in direct chat must be prefaced by the syntax “//”
3.2.3 - Extended OOC interactions are forbidden.
3.3 - Microphones are required on RPUK servers.
3.4 - Side (OOC) chat roleplay is forbidden. You must not use side chat to broadcast about events you observe (for example, you may not broadcast “X are going to rob the bank”). The exception to this is advertising your ingame business.
3.5.1 - You must hot-mic all communications that have been made over teamspeak when they are relevant to influencing the course of roleplay.
This means that if you are communicating to fellow team members via Teamspeak and you are in audio proximity range of another player (they can hear you), you must hot mic any commands given so the rival player can overhear.
This rule does not apply if both sides are engaged in a gunfight together.
3.5.2 - When your communication devices have been taken from you by another player, you must not use external methods or group chat to communicate with anyone else. Only direct chat is to be used in this case.
3.8 - Helicopter Initiation rules
3.8.1 - As Police or UNMC: 1 ATC message must be sent clearly indicating the target and stating intention to fire upon the helicopter followed by 2 minutes to comply to said message.
3.8.2 - As any other party: Warning shots must be issued with 3 tracer rounds past the front and rear of the aircraft. 2 minutes should be given to comply before taking action.
7.1.3 - Killing and executing someone must be carried out with quality roleplay, “put your hands up or I will shoot” etc is considered poor RP and may lead to a ban for RDM/Fail RP.
8.1 - Using the ARAC or Taxi spawn points for any purpose other than the implied duties is forbidden.
Bounty hunter rules removed.
There will be some zone changes coming tomorrow as well. Awaiting a layout change to the rules page.
The following rules will be applicable to counter players joining the server for a specific operation or scenario:
HM Rules:
For the below, the bank zone is defined as the gray shaded area on the map. (
1km from treasury until map update with marked area)
(X.1) Once the blasting charge has been planted, police officers that are not in-game at the time (beyond the lobby screen) cannot enter the bank zone (
1km from treasury until map update with marked area) until the situation is finished (see x.3).
(X.2) Engagement may not traverse the zones. Consequently, people inside of the zone may not engage those outside of it, and vice versa.
(X.3) After 5 minutes have passed without an exchange of gunfire, the situation is to be considered over.
(X.4) Police barred from entering the bank zone as per 7.2.7 are permitted to establish a perimeter around the zone for the purpose of preventing civilians from entering and/or preventing the gold from escaping.
Group Base (including Police and UNMC) Attacks:
A group shall be defined as any collection of persons established through the Y Menu system, or any whitelisted faction except the NHS.
(x.1) Attacking group bases can only be done under the following circumstances:
A member of the attacking group follows the base owner into the base as part of an active pursuit. (This only applies to player group owned bases, and does not apply to factions).
With permission from a staff member and where said staff member can look over the situation while it unfolds. The staff member authorising the attack must be completely neutral in the situation.
(x.2) The owning group cannot use their group spawn once the attack has begun (shots fired), until the situation is considered over as defined in rule x.4.
(x.3) Only group members online when the attack begins can respond. Online shall be defined as a person who is in the stage of loading the game beyond the lobby screen.
(x.4) The attack is classed as over after 5 minutes of inactivity.
(x.5) During a base attack, the base owner cannot repair any doors (for example, if you door has been broken down by a police officer, you cannot lock it)
Note that there will be a specifice map area defined when the next map update is live. Until then the bank area is classed as 1KM from the HM Treasury. These rules will be implemented into the main rules when we have created specific areas for them.
Thanks to all involved in creating these rules and a
s always any feedback is appreciated and can be posted here.
