The summer is in full swing! This weather is splendid, When your not on Altis Life i hope your outside enjoying that thing called real life!
Its a day or two early as in my area we are due a 30'c heatwave tomorrow and Wednesday so forgive me for freeing up some time!
Lets have a look at whats in July's Newsletter
ALUK Framework
We are excited to announce that behind the scenes for about a month now Ciaran has been hard at work coding our own RP framework from scratch so we can move away from Tonic's discontinued framework.
Its a long process and might be under wraps for another month or so as it needs to be perfect to replace our code we are also making it completely unique so we can give a new and exciting experience.
There is already a working version and from the features added so far we are very pleased on how its going, The new code is being completely optimized so we can deliver a better and smoother experience, exciting times!
With this I have started on the map already completely designing it from a blank canvas, Don't get me wrong some custom detail will be moved across (Kavala High street etc) but for the most part we will be bringing a brand new experience to Altis.
The first area i have focused on with the new map is the NHS, The hospital is looking special, its something that no other Altis Life community has put so much detail into! Its blowing my mind and I am going to make you wait till we show it off even though i am tempted!
The Framework will be unique and licensed for use on AltisLife.co.uk, We will send it across to Bohemia once finished so it can be verified as unique if we decide to join there donator program to give in game cosmetics to our supporters.
Your current stats will be carried across to our new framework
Updates
With the above announced I can confirm that new updates will be very minimal until the release of our framework
Admin & Friend's Meetup
At the start of June myself, Cardoso, TingBigJacko, Shadow & George had the privilege of all meeting up at Bath Racecourse and then for a meal in Bristol followed by a nightout.
We all had a good time and it absolutely brilliant to finally meetup and I am sure we will do it again not too far into the future!
Community Meetup 2015 & 2016
Considering we failed to get this one going for 2015 as its been a hectic year so far i am taking ownership for 2016, Looking at unsure numbers sorting out paintball for maybe a hundred people might not be easy!
Here goes hopefully this is a popular move!
Meetup 2016 - Insomnia V Camping V Reading Festival, A poll will open up today and will run until the end of the year, Depending on the result we will then release details of what to buy (tickets etc) and consider so we can plan this one in advance.
I have picked the above locations as they can all cater for a larger group of people with 2 of them having more to do than just the meetup.
The Forums
The forums have now been upgraded to the new script and design for almost a month, There are still some teething problems and we will continue to work upon that in the coming weeks/months, There are some exiting features planned along with previous features coming back so keep an eye out for that!
Game Admins
A big welcome to the team our new game admins - Connall, Walt, PaulS, TheSolider, Brat, The Shadow (Adam) & Crumble
I am pretty sure you are already seeing the benefits of our expanding team, There was over 43 applications that the entire admin team had to vote on, Thank you to everyone that applied if we didn't take your kind services up this time I can 100% say there will be more opportunity in the future so keep an eye out for them!
Altis Life UK T-Shirts
We tried to get this one on the go near XMAS, and i understand it was a bad time of year to start it, We had 24 T-Shirts ordered but didn't meet the threshold of 25!
Over the coming days we will launch this again with a more toned down smarter version just featuring our logo, I know i want a ALUK T-shirt i am sure a few of you do as well so hopefully this time it will happen! (If not we will look at other ways to get this done)
Profit will go directly to Cancer Research UK
Mentors
The Mentor applications are now closed, Robert and his team will spend the next day or so voting in there new mentors
The admin team wishes you good luck! Its completely out of our hands but we look forward to welcoming the new mentors
Donations
Thanks for all your support this month with donations, We met our goal which was boosted by lifetime donators, We need your continued monthly support to keep our servers online and invest in our website

Tanoa
When the news was leaked we snapped up Tanoa.co.uk, If we decide this map is going to be a good addition to RP then we will bring up another server (depending on funds at the time), So little has been released right now so we cannot confirm it however as per the domain registration there is interest on our part, With our new framework we can move it to any map we desire.
King of the Hill & DayZ
A few of you noticed there was a battle going on in KOTH last night, It was nice to see so many community members over there, We know we wont fill KOTH daily thats not why its there! Its for people of this community to play with each other if there unable to get into other KOTH servers all together or for our KOTH Friday
DayZ, We have reopened a 30 Slot DayZ server, Again this is for the same effect its so our community members can play with each other and against each other, in due course both KOTH and DayZ details will be added to the website
Introducing DayZ Wednesdays, Another event for the calendar.
Last time we had a DayZ standalone server we was number 1 in the world before we took it down, seeing development as moved on a little further its time to revisit it as it needs minimal interaction to none from the admin team, If the server is unused it will be removed at the end of summer.
Community Growth
I am pleased to see our daily numbers have skyrocketed! Our website visits are at around 2800 - 3000 unique visitors per day
Welcome to our new members and thankyou to our existing ones who keep coming back for more, Really happy that people continue to call this home!
